Ob. Pft. - Intermediate - SKU: F2.FM534 Composed by Cormac Dorrian. Oboe and Piano. Score and Part. 11 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM534. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM534). ISBN 9790570484331.A lovely, melodic tune over rich, tonal chords opens this piece. The central section becomes a little more agitated, before the opening tunes return to bring the piece to a calm conclusion. This piece was written for my partner and myself to play. The reason I titled it 'Next Sunday Afternoon' was that her response every time I suggested we play something together was 'Not right now - how about next Sunday afternoon?'. For obvious reasons, this is dedicated to her.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1258076 By Jeff Bjorck. By Jeff Bjorck. Arranged by Jeff Bjorck. 21st Century,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 5 pages. Pure Piano Music by Jeff Bjorck #851315. Published by Pure Piano Music by Jeff Bjorck (A0.1258076). This original solo piano composition by Jeff Bjorck appears on Bjorck's album/CD, Keepsakes in the Attic. When creating this melody, Bjorck imagined himself in the attic of an old house, with afternoon sun drifting through a small window, casting a warm glow on an old steamer trunk like the ones his great-grandparents used when immigrating from Sweden in the late 1800s. Gently lifting out many family heirlooms from the trunk evokes rich memories, providing transportation to much earlier times and places, prompting bittersweet reverie as loved ones now gone are fondly remembered. This composition can prompt a similar nostalgic reverie for those who play it and those who listen.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1126984 By Anne Shelton. By Irving Aaronson and Paul Francis Webster. Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. 19th Century,Film/TV,Instructional,Opera,Standards. Octavo. 11 pages. Scott S. Stewart #727620. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.1126984). “The Loveliest Night of the Year†was first published in 1888 by the Mexican composer and violinist, Juventino P. Rosas, originally titled “Sobre las olas†(Over the Waves). Generations grew up hearing this tune played on (perhaps) a WurliTzer 153 Band Wagon that accompanied their carousel ride in many a fairground on a sunny afternoon. In 1950 the music was adapted by Irving Aaronson and Paul Francis Webster and featured in the MGM biographical film “The Great Carusoâ€. It was later recorded by Mario Lanza, thus making it an ‘Italian-American favorite’. This arrangement is scored for 4-part SATB ensemble with piano accompaniment. Performance time: 3:00+- This tune is an excellent opening number for an outdoor summer’s evening community engagement concert, or the theme song for a concert about opera and/or opera singers, or a performance about opera’s connection to it’s sister art form – film.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 5 - SKU: A0.1380720 By Queen. By Freddie Mercury. Arranged by Dirk Radloff. Classical,Rock. 8 pages. Dirk Radloff #965501. Published by Dirk Radloff (A0.1380720). This is a hidden gem from QUEEN's iconic album A night at the opera, I love the early 1920s-vibe. The complex structure and rich melodic content makes it worth to arrange it for string quartet. As usual I have altered the original. A string quartet is calling for more interplay of the voices. The arrangement is written for a professional, experienced string quartet.

I didn't want to play all these old jazz-tunes with my band again and again, so I wrote some tunes soundalike but with new melodies... the audience will love it! For use in all possible instrumentations lead-sheets in C (T.C. & B.C.), Bb and Eb are included.

String Orchestra - Level 3 - SKU: A0.734620 Composed by Eliot Daniel. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. Contemporary. Score and parts. 10 pages. Chicory Music #6676835. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734620). On October 15, 1951, the very first episode of the I Love Lucy show aired on CBS and became the most watched TV show in the U.S. for four of its seven-year run. Fun trivia about the opening theme song is that during the first season the show opened with their sponsor Philip Morris’ animation of stick figure cartoons of Lucy and Desi climbing down a pack of Philip Morris cigarettes. It was scored with Ferde Grofé’s Jr. The Grand Canyon Suite theme (a composition from 1931).From the second season onwards, the I Love Lucy signature tune we all know so well became the main theme, and one of the most recognizable pieces of music on the planet. It was written by composer Eliot Daniel who cranked it out in an afternoon as a favor to his old Coast Guard buddy Jess Oppenheimer, the show’s producer. Since Daniel still had another year under his exclusive contract to Fox, he asked Oppenheimer to keep his name out of it. Consequently his name does not appear on first or the second season TV credits for what became one of the most popular TV themes. Later, Daniel did seek credit and received royalties from syndicated reruns for the rest of his life. The lyrics were written by Harold Adamson for an episode in the third season in which Lucy believes everyone has forgotten her birthday. So of course Ricky saves the day after a near disaster. This arrangement for String Orchestra plus optional Drum Set part remains faithful to the original.Performance Time Approx. 1 minute 25 seconds
