This setting of the responsorial psalm for Christmas Midnight Mass aptly conveys the exultation of Psalm 96. A gentle assembly refrain gives way to more rhythmic and colorful verses: two cantor verses (for high voice) with harp accompaniment, and two a cappella choral verses.
