The NAMM 2018 marks Strymon's entry into the world of Eurorack, with Magneto, a stereo band echo with multiple possibilities. The new Strymon Magneto offers three modes of operation: a stereo band echo simulation of four playback heads, a looper, a sampler, but you can also use it as a vintage spring reverb, a clock multiplier, a chaotic oscillator, a sub-oscillator... in your Eurorack environment thanks to its different voltage-controlled inputs and outputs. Magneto's unprocessed signal path is entirely analog, Strymon used an Analog Devices SHARC processor for processing and developed its own band echo algorithms. Features of this new Magneto : Strip echo simulation based on the in-house dTape algorithm, with four read heads and one recording head 3 operation modes: echo with inversion, looper and phrase sampler Varispeed algorithm with 8:1 speed range and Stop/Start effect Maximum delay/loop time: 15 seconds at maximum speed, two minutes at minimum speed Minimum delay time: 200 microseconds at maximum speed Control of mechanical aspects of the belt, condition of the machine, age and wear of the belt, crying and flickering, low-cut filter, repetitions (up to self-oscillation), Transport controls (buttons and CV inputs) for real-time operation, including Infinite to capture a particular event or use Magneto as an oscillator, Restart and its dedicated CV input. speed and CV input Pitch quantization mode Shift mode to create rhythmically pitch delays 15 ranges to choose from Level control of the read heads Individual assignment of the feedback to the heads independently of the reading level 3 stereo pan options: left/right/left/left/right, left/right/right/left and a customizable Center CV inputs and outputs for clock with phase alignment and synchronization; range between 50 ms and 15s Recording input level for clean sounds up to saturation Sound generator with self-oscillation Independent spring reverb Tap Tempo with time range between 50 ms and 15s CV tap with a time range between 10 ms and 15s 2 inputs and outputs left/right Shipping and return 1 input and 4 outputs for the clock 96 kHz sampling frequency Dimensions: 28 HP, 41 mm deep
