The seven chorale fantasias by Max Reger are among the most important of organ repertoire ? masterpieces blending chorale melody and programmatic music based on the text of the chorales. Published on the occasion of the composer's 150th birthday, this fundamentally revised Urtext edition, in two volumes, is edited by the internationally renowned organist and Leipzig professor of organ Martin Schmeding. As one of the most influential Reger interpreters, Schmeding not only includes the latest research, but also addresses the need for a contemporary interpretation of the chorale fantasias on modern organs. The edition includes all the original dynamic and agogic indications (including continuation lines to cresc., etc., which are missing in many modern editions), as well as all the original registration and manual indications. The Bohuslav Martinu Complete Edition III/1/5. Par MARTINU BOHUSLAV. “Incarnation” (1956), Bohuslav Martinu’s fourth piano concerto, follows an atypical two-movement structure. It was composed for Martinu’s friend Rudolf Firkušný, who played from a copy of the autograph until 1970, when the composition was first put into print. The next work, “Concerto in B flat major for Piano and Orchestra”, known under the name “Fantasia Concertante”, was to be Martinu’s very last concert work. The concerto in three movements, composed at the request of Swiss pianist Margrit Weber, is quite different from the previous work in terms of its compositional means. In this case, Martinu strongly influenced the edition of the work. The present volume of the Complete Edition of works by Bohuslav Martinu is based mainly on contemporary copies containing the composer’s own modifications. Telemann's Fantasias for Solo Violon and his Fantasias for Solo Flute constitute a varied collection of twelve pieces, half of which follow the model of the 'sonata da chiesa' and the other half the model of the 'sonata da camara'. Now all of Bärenreiter?s new performing editions of Bach?s organ works are being revised to reflect the current state of scholarship and to convey maximum fidelity to the sources by being linked to ?Bach digital?. The present volume is an updated edition of Series IV, Volume 6 of the ?New Bach Edition? (NBA), prepared by Dietrich Kilian in 1964. The discovery of new sources and a reassessment of existing handwritten copies have brought about changes to the contents of the volume, which now includes the ?Fantasia in C minor? (BWV 1121), the ?Fantasia in G major? (BWV 571), the ?Fugue in G major? (BWV 577) and the C major version of the ?Toccata and Fugue in E major? (BWV 566). On the other hand, the ?Prelude in G major? This Fantasia is founded on the following traditional English carols: The Truth Sent From Above (Herefordshire) words and tune; Come All You Worthy Gentlemen (Somerset) words and tune; On Christmas Night (Sussex) words and tune; There Is A Fountain (Herefordshire) tune only; together with fragments of other well-known carol tunes. The work is scored for ordinary full Orchestra with Organ and set of bells (ad lib. ), or String Orchestra with Organ or Piano. Alternatively, it may be accompanied by Organ or Piano alone, played from the Vocal score, with an optional solo Cello part (H212). A chorus part for performance bysolo Baritone and TTBB is also available (W41). The chorus is required to sing in four different ways: 1. Singing the words. 2. Singing with closed lips. 3.
