Suzhou Gardens is inspired by the Classical Gardens of Suzhou. Alexander Rosenblatt wrote his own Chinese-style melody and spiced up the composition with jazz chords and harmonies. There are many fountains and waterfalls in the gardens, so he tried to depict theoverflows and colours of the murmuring water in his music.
