Two Pieces

For the Easy Concert Pieces series, the experienced piano teacher Monika Twelsiek compiled pleasant, easy piano pieces for beginners and published them in two volumes in progressive order. The third volume is in preparation.The two volumes are intended to complement a piano tutorial method and are particularly suitable for performance at auditions at music schools, for examinations and for competitions. They offer varied repertoire in a broad selection of pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras.Volume 1 (ED 22547) can already be used by beginners, containing pieces in the five-note range and easy pieces spanning a single octave. Other criteria for selection are simple rhythms and very easy chords. Crossing the thumb underneath, playing several parts together and pedal use are not yet required.Volume 2 (ED 22548) contains pieces with an extended range of two octaves. Crossing the thumb under, pedal use, simple polyphony and three- or four-part chords all feature here, as do simple ornaments, cantabile playing and differentiating between melody and accompaniment. / Piano

23 Pieces From 6 Centuries. The Easy Concert Pieces series for alto saxophone and piano provide easy to intermediate pieces from the Renaissance to the modern era for music lessons, concert performances or private music-making. The volumes with accompanying CD add to the not very extensive repertoire of performance pieces for saxophone. They were carefully selected according to technical and musical requirements and are arranged in three volumes according to their level of difficulty. All pieces are included on the accompanying CD as demo and play-along versions (piano accompaniment). The piano part contained in the volume is very easy so that it can even be played by a pupil, e.g. at a music school concert. Volume 1 (ED 22553) contains easy pieces which mainly range from d' to c''', occasionally even to d'''. The keys range from C to D major or the respective minor keys. This volume contains works by Charpentier, Vivaldi, Handel, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Smetana, Pütz, Moser, and others. Volume 2 (ED 22554) contains intermediate pieces ranging from c' to e''', with unusual metres and demisemiquavers appearing occasionally. Including works by Wolkenstein, Peuerl, Schein, Purcell, Telemann, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Gounod, Humperdinck, Elgar, and others. 24 Easy Pieces From 5 Centuries Using Half To 3Rd Position. The 'Easy Concert Pieces' series presents a varied selection of easy concert pieces for double bass and piano from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical periods through to the modern era. To facilitate choosing individual pieces for performance and auditions at music schools, competitions or examinations these pieces have been ordered according to level of musical and technical difficulty. Book 1 (ED 22551) contains pieces in half and first position. Pieces in each position and some using position changes are presented from each era. Simple techniques such as portato, staccato and legato bowing are introduced along with pizzicato, using rudimentary dynamics ranging from piano to forte, crescendo and decrescendo and simple phrasing.
