Adven t candle lighting anthem Designed to support the lighting of the Advent candles, this includes a choral opening based on Coventry Carol, followed by a call and response litany with piano underscore, then a text to be read with the lighting of the candle. As that concludes, the choir comes back in with the option of adding the congregation for an original melody calling for peace on earth and for the Light of light to end our darkness. A concluding prayer is also provided. There are five readings, one for each candle. Reproducible parts for the congregation and 7 optional handbells are included.
