Our customers who usually buy hymn-based organ music have been quite taken with Mr. Stover's original, non-hymn-based pieces! (See his Tambourine, 10-437, for example.) His Blue Prelude is exactly what the title indicates; it's introspective with complex and lush harmonies. An Art Deco? homage to Gershwin, Ellington, and other composers of the ??30s and ??40s- it's perfect for an unusual piece on a recital. While we don't exactly rule out using it in worship, it might be a tad too sultry!
