The left hand accompaniment is more developed than most of Mr. Mahan's selections. C and F levers required. Montecito Morning is in the key of D, 2 pages, with lovely embellished 7th harmonies. Walking Down Butterfly Lane is very easy to play, but the harmonies make up for the simplicity. Treasure of San Ysidro has a mysterious sound to it. Key of A minor with a variety of rhythmic changes throughout, an interesting composition to play. Canyon has a breezy feel to it, key of C, with an easy left hand. Lotusland as another mysterious sounding composition in the key of B minor, switching back and forth from Â¾ to 6/8. Montecito Moon in Â¾, key of C has a busy left hand, full rolled chords in the right hand along with moving eighth notes. A View from Eucalyptus Hill has a lovely melody with a variety of left hand changes throughout. Moves from Â¾ to 4/4 and back to Â¾. Reba Lunsford's very easy pieces for beginning harp players are printed on the left-hand pages, and a more advanced accompaniment is printed on the right-hand page. This allows the teacher to play a nice accompaniment along with the beginning student during their lesson. The accompaniments can also be played as a duet with another harp or piano by the student's sibling, parent, or friend.This book will have the kids wanting to practice! Subtitled Fun Songs for Beginners and Friends, it is an excellent supplement for any teacher of young students. The songs are very short, usually 2 or 3 lines, and have fun lyrics about dragons or dinosaurs. The first 7 songs have fingerings and placing brackets. Each tune has a musical concept the teacher can briefly touch on to reinforce theory, such as eighth notes, placing, measures, time signatures, intervals, accents, arpeggios, glisses, tempo, thumb slides, scales, pickup measure, accidentals, ties, and more. All of the pieces are in the key of C.
