Small Ensemble - Level 1 - SKU: A0.890779 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Sneakwood Editions. Baroque,Folk,Jewish,World. Score and parts. 32 pages. Sneakwood Editions #5799897. Published by Sneakwood Editions (A0.890779). Georg Philipp Telemann – Polish Dances from the Rostock Manuscript TWV 45 (Danse d`Polones / Danse Polonie)Telemann was seduced by Polish music, especially by his dances and popular musicI became acquainted there and also in Krakau with Polish and Moravian music in its true, barbaric beauty […] […] it is impossible to imagine the fantastic musical ideas they presented between dances when the dancers rested and the musicians improvised music together [‘jammed’] to fill out the time. Anyone who paid very close attention could pick up in 8 days sufficient musical ideas to last a lifetime.(Telemann’s autobiography, published in Mattheson’s Ehren-Pforte, Hamburg, 1740)It is easy to understand, through Telemann’s own words, the great influence that Polish music and Polish dances had on Telemann. It was in 1705 when Telemann become Kapellmeister for the court of Count Erdmann II of Promnitz at Sorau (now Żary, in Poland), His career there was cut short in early 1706 by the hostilities of the Great Northern War but his contact with Polish music marked him for life. These Polish dances found in Rostock are a reflection of the music that Telemann heard and transcribed. A reflection of that barbaric beauty. The manuscript was discovered in 1986 at the University of Rostock. It consists of two volumes. One of the volumes contains the violin part and the other the bass part.

B-Flat Trumpet,Piano - Level 1 - SKU: A0.1182594 By Dirk Quinn Band. By Charles Borrelli and Roger Courtland. Arranged by Marcony Carvalho. 20th Century,Classical,March. Score and part. 2 pages. Zedas Couve #782339. Published by Zedas Couve (A0.1182594). The Eagles' Victory Song was the creation of Charles Borrelli and Richard Courtland Harrison, a Washington, D.C. music teacher and arranger for jazz guitarist Charlie Byrd. The song was mistakenly credited to R. Courtland by the Copyright office and in various editions of Eagles programs from the late 1950s through the 1960s.In 1963, Jerry Wolman purchased the Philadelphia Eagles. Wolman was a sports fan growing up and loved hearing the Washington Redskins' fight song Hail to the Redskins at games. Spawning from his admiration for the Redskins' song, Wolman searched for musicians to implement a team song for the Eagles, and founded The Philadelphia Eagles' Sound of Brass band in 1964. The group included 200 musicians and dancers, and was led by Arlen Saylor, who was appointed as the Eagles' entertainment director in 1966 and is credited with penning an arrangement of the fight song that the band played at home games during halftime in the 1960s. Wolman's push to popularize the fight song flew under the radar, however, and in 1969 the Sound of Brass band was discontinued. The song came back into light in 1997, when Bobby Mansure, founder of an unofficial Eagles pep band, asked team management to allow the band to play in the parking lot during home games. Management gave Mansure's pep band an audition, allowing them to play at two preseason games to gauge fan reaction. The song went over so well that Mansure and the band retained a permanent position as the official Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band.In 1998, following Mansure's reintroduction of the song, Eagles management attempted to rebuild its popularity among fans by changing some aspects of the song: they modified the key, changed the opening lyric from Fight, Eagles Fight to Fly, Eagles Fly, and re-marketed the song with that as the title. In addition, they appended the popular E-A-G-L-E-S chant—which had emerged in the 1980s—to the end of the song. While management planned to play the song throughout the 1998 season, the Eagles' poor performance that year caused them to hold off reintroducing the song until the following year. The Eagles fared better during their 1999 season, and subsequently, the fight song was played after every score.

Score and part. 2 pages. Zedas Couve #782360. Published by Zedas Couve (A0.1182615). Beginners will have a blast with these ensemble arrangements leveled to correlate with popular flute method books! Each part is correlated with a specific lesson in the Flute 101 and Blocki Methods. Creating an ensemble for your beginning flute students is one of the best things you can do for them; intonation, phrasing, and dynamics are all more effectively taught when reinforced through ensemble work. Since these are multi-level ensembles, your students will quickly find role models within your studio who are playing at a higher level, increasing motivation to practice so they can play the harder parts the next time! *Please note that these arrangements correlate with method books meant for private lessons, which typically begin with the notes B, A, and G, rather than band methods, which start students with less beginner-friendly flute notes.Collection ACollection A includes two trios, two quartets, and one trio with a split first part. The pieces work well together if you are looking for a great concert program. They are presented here roughly in ascending order of difficulty. As a special bonus, extra parts for alto flute, bass flute, Bb instruments, Eb instruments, French Horn, and Bass clef instruments are included for The Water Is Wide and the William Tell Overture if you would like to expand your ensembleIncluded in Collection ARobins' DanceLullabyThe Water Is WideBare BranchesThe William Tell Overture
