Euphonium,Low Brass Quintet - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1250700 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Chamber,Christian,Easter,Historic. 29 pages. Regis Bookshar #844985. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1250700). Three selections based on Christ lag in Todesbanden (Christ lay in death's bonds) (from Cantata No.  4, BMV  4) - Johann Sebastian Bach - Euphonium Quintet (Bass Clef) - Advanced/Intermediate - .Cantata No.  4, BMV  4, Christ lag in Todesbanden (also spelled Todes Banden) (Christ lay in death's bonds) is a cantata for Easter written by Johann Sebastian Bach and is his earliest surviving Church Cantata. It was probably written in 1707 when he was 22 years old. It is a Chorale Cantata, a style in which both the text and music are based on a hymn. In this instance, the source was Martin Luther's hymn of the same name which became a main Easter hymn in German Lutheranism. Regis Bookshar has transcribed and arranged three selections based on this hymn tune, two from Bach's Cantata No.  4, BMV  4, and also his Chorale Prelude, BMV 625. They may be played individually or as a trilogy and each movement is more complex than the previous one. The first selection in this trilogy is the Chorale, Christ lag in Todesbanden, the final chorus from his Cantata No.  4, a straightforward four-part chorale setting of the hymn. (Regis has also added a fifth part). This is followed by Bach's Chorale Prelude, BMV 625, a piece from his Orgelbuchlein (Little Organ Book), a collection of 46 Preludes for organ, written almost exclusively during the 1708-1717 period, while Bach was court organist at Weimar. For the final selection, Regis has placed the polyphonic and imitative chorus, Es war ein wunderlicher Krieg, da Tod und Leben rungen (It was a strange battle, that death and life waged), which Bach had placed in the middle of his Cantata No.  4.This arrangement is for a Euphonium Quintet, written in Bass Clef. There is also a version written in Treble Clef, if you would prefer.Included are a score and a complete set of parts (29 pages).I hope you will enjoy playing these selections and please search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar. There are numerous selections in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. I think you will be pleased with what you may find.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - SKU: A0.749239 By Justin Bieber Duet With Mariah Carey. By Mariah Carey and Walter Afanasieff. Arranged by HELEN MARPLE-HORVAT. Contemporary. 39 pages. Helen Marple-Horvat #6196305. Published by Helen Marple-Horvat (A0.749239). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSx1esb0D0wMariah Carey released this critically acclaimed song in 1994 and it has remained a popular snowy-season Christmas standard ever since. I originally arranged it for Voice with Quartet accompaniment in F, with my daughter, Alice Rose Wild, who sings on the live recording. You can hear our recording of the whole song on my channel if you type in Skinny Black Dogs, Capriccio Quartet, ‘All I want for Christmas’ into Youtube. More recently I have created this version for String Quartet in the key of G. At the moment I have only the Sibelius computer score, and hope to record it with Capriccio Quartet once the covid pandemic is at an end. Suspend your disbelief! Why choose my Arrangement? The arrangement is in a great key for strings and most of the double stopping includes an open string. In one or two places the double stopping is a bit more tricky, so for younger players it would be better perhaps to miss out one of the notes, or to play them consecutively. The Intro. For the first violinist I include two versions of the intro and recommend that the quartet listen to the original, or to Alice’s recording for speed and performance tips. It is quite difficult to get the computer to do it musically, so the video intro is only intended as a rough guide. One of the enclosed options is intended as a rehearsal version, and has the lyrics to help. I have bowed it to include lots of downbows, and recovery of bows, which will help the other members to follow. The tricky sextuplet and triplet ornament at bar 10 can be omitted altogether. Simply pause on the ‘C’ and then recover the downbow for the next bar.I also include two versions of the violin two and viola parts. One is on two pages as a smaller font, and one on three pages with a larger font. For cellists who are a bit daunted by the solo at letter A , simply play the fourth position semi breve Gs at bar 12 and at bars 13 and 14 too, and revert to the original score at bar 15. ie Six semibreve Gs. Perhaps a harmonic D at bar 15 would be easier than a shift at this point, and then join in unison with the rest of the band. The song moves between a straight crotchet pulse and lots of syncopated lines. This will be difficult to read on paper, but I always recommend listening to the song many times and then doing it by ear, using the notes on the page as a guide. Try not to play them too literally.PrintoutsPages 1 - 10 are for Look Inside Options only.Pages 11 - 28 includes all PartsPage 29 onwards is the optional Score for rehearsals. The vocal version is proving popular, but for a standard quartet Wedding and Events repertoire I hope that people will enjoy this arrangement. Send me recordings on facebook, even if they are phone rehearsals. I love to hear them, and to make contact with quartets around the world!

Andrew Mc Donald (Macka Records) #764506. Published by Andrew Mc Donald (Macka Records) (A0.1164160). The Choice Is Yours is a song about coming to the front of the pulpit during an altar call. Then we can make a decision if we would like to accept Jesus into our hearts and follow Him. This is something that everyone should have an opportunity to do. Put simply, the choice is yours. This is a ballad for piano and female vocals.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 4 - SKU: A0.842481 By The Newsboys. By Keith Getty and Stuart Townend. Arranged by Ben Clapton. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. 14 pages. Ben Clapton #4810117. Published by Ben Clapton (A0.842481). In Christ Alone is a popular modern Christian hymn, written by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend. Composed in 2001, the lyrics of this song are credal in nature, speaking about the life, death and resurrection of Christ. This arrangement is an adaptable arrangement suitable for many uses. The first, repeated section contains a basic hymn tune arrangement that is easy and able to be played by all players. If accompanying singing, then you can just repeat this section for the four verses.Following this, the arrangement explores the text musically. A short shift into the tonic minor expands the words There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain before a sudden shift back to the tonic major with the words Bursting forth in glorious day. The accompaniment becomes a triplet ostinato which helps bring out the victory theme in the latter part of this verse, invoking a feel of a snare drum in a marching band. The music then starts preparing for a final verse, taking a small melodic motif and passing it around the quartet as it modulates up a tone to E major. The last half of this verse is repeated, with the second violin accompanying part mirroring the melody an octave lower to provide a base for the soaring melody of the first violin high on the E string. This arrangement would be suitable for church accompaniment (first section repeated), or for special performance. The first violin part is quite advanced, ranging to G#6 (sixth position), however the remainder of the parts would be playable by intermediate players.

Broadway,Christian,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Pop,Religious. Score and Parts. 127 pages. Www.studio-orchestrations.com #864988. Published by www.studio-orchestrations.com (A0.1272791). This beautiful duet by Stephen Schwartz comes from the wonderful Dreamworks animated classic The Prince Of Egypt and is sung as the Hebrews find their confidence to follow Moses out of Egypt to the Promised Land. It was sung in the film by Michelle Pfeiffer and Sally Sworsky but was also recorded by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey for the end credits and released as an iconic chart topping single.  This arrangement is in the original film soundtrack key, configured for soprano and baritone soloists, with optional SATB chorus, but it can still be sung by two female soloists if desired. This version is a lush dramatic orchestral soundscape which would be suitable for any symphonic concert with vocalists celebrating Film and/or Musicals (since it transferred to the West End stage in 2020).Suitable for a professional or advanced intermediate ensemble.Instrumentation: 2 Flutes [ 2nd doubling Piccolo] OboeCor Anglais2 Clarinets2 Bassoons 4 French Horns 3 Trumpets3 Trombones 1 Tuba 1 Timpani 3-4 Percussion Drum KitHarp Keyboard Optional SATB chorus Strings This arrangement follows the film Pfeiffer/Sworksy soundtrack version but incorporates the Houston/Carey 'middle 8' words and music rather than the children's chorus version. You might also be interested in my orchestration of When You Believe also by Stephen Schwartzhttps://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/meadowlark-digital-sheet-music/22560340.

Piano Solo - Advanced Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Thomas Hastings. Arranged by Christi Stills. Neo-Classical, Sacred, New Age. 3 pages. Published by Christi Stills
Rock of Ages -This arrangement has a long intro which is a piece I composed during the time a favorite mentor was on his deathbed. In the youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6St2W_0KX6c , you can most likely feel the emotion my heart was experiencing as I penned this song. This timeless hymn is a favorite communion piece for me. It has been professionally recorded and is part of my album All the Day Long. I am currently working to transcribe the other titles on my album.
If you enjoy "Rock of Ages," please email me at christistillsmusic@gmail.com , and I would be happy to let you know when I have completed transcribing other titles.

Brass Ensemble Euphonium - Level 4 - SKU: A0.813876 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 44 pages. Regis Bookshar #6612655. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813876). Euphonium Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - . This marvelous arrangement of the March from Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's extremely popular, The Nutcracker Suite, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts and recitals but would be most appropriate during the Holiday season. This selection has been arranged to keep all of the intensity and excitement of the original composition and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (44 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. The Nutcracker is an 1892 two-act ballet with a score by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It has enjoyed enormous popularity since the late 1960's and is performed by countless ballet companies, primarily during the Christmas season, especially in North America. Tchaikovsky's score has become one of his most famous compositions. Some critics have called it astonishingly rich in detailed inspiration and from beginning to end, beautiful, melodious, original and characteristic. The ballet's first complete performance outside Russia took place in England in 1934. The first complete United States performance was on December 24, 1944, by the San Francisco Ballet. It was such an enormous success that the San Francisco Ballet has presented The Nutcracker every Christmas Eve and throughout the winter season, debuting new productions in 1944, 1954, 1967 and 2004. In Salt Lake City, it has been performed every year since 1963. The New York City Ballet gave its first annual performance in 1954. In addition to annual live stagings of the work, many productions have also been televised or released on home video. The Nutcracker continues to be one of Tchaikovsky's most popular compositions and contains some of his most memorable works. Tchaikovsky made a selection of eight of the numbers from the ballet before the ballet's December 1892 premiere, forming The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a, and is intended for concert performance. The suite was first performed, under the composer's direction, on March 19, 1892. The suite became instantly popular with almost every number encored at its premiere.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could also have the opportunity to play some of these wonderful compositions, originally scored for a full orchestra, and has arranged two of the selections, the popular March and the Russian Dance for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. So, in addition to this version of the March for a Euphonium Octet, written in Treble Clef, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection for various Quintets and Octets and are readily available. A version for a Euphonium Octet, written in Bass Clef, is also available, if you prefer. If you should decide to purchase this arrangement of the March, I would highly encourage you to also consider purchasing the arrangement of the Russian Dance as well. Scheduling the March followed by the Russian Dance would be a very satisfying addition to any concert or recital. Please take the time to look for other versions of these compositions. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as there are numerous selections in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of the March from Tchaikovsky's marvelous holiday favorite, The Nutcracker Suite, will continue to entertain both performers and a.

Included are a score and a complete set of parts (43 pages). So, in addition to this version of the March for a Violin Octet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection for various Quintets and Octets and are readily available. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of the March from Tchaikovsky's marvelous holiday favorite, The Nutcracker Suite, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

So, in addition to this version of the March for a Bassoon Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection for various Quintets and Octets and are readily available. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of the March from Tchaikovsky's marvelous holiday favorite, The Nutcracker Suite, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.
