Easy Guitar (with TAB) - Level 1 - SKU: A0.1370027 Composed by Brian Streckfus. Instructional,Singer/Songwriter. Tablature. 6 pages. Brian Streckfus #954402. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1370027). I created this to make learning the most common chords on guitar easier. Learning chords on guitar is quite difficult; fret numbers are quite arbitary to what the chord is. There are patterns to follow, but they are buried in a convoluted foggy swamp. The tuning of guitar strings essentially puts the music theory in a blender and one has to study for a long time to decode it. It is my hope that this PDF will shine some light on how chords are built, and why some of them have a lot of clarity in how they are working, and why others seem completely random. This PDF shows chords that commonly happen in pop music, so it is by no means an exhaustive list. For knowing how to use chords, see my chord progression generator uploads.Tips:1. There is redundacy for a reason; this pdf shows multiple ways of playing the same chord.2. The first two pages are for the music theory purists in that there is hardly ever an uneccesary note to mantain the name of the chord. This is useful for understanding what notes are needed for a chord (it's a cliche for guitarists to have overly large chords).3. Pages 3 and 4 are the famous voicings. 4. Pages 5 and 6 are the bar chord versions. These versions are physically harder to play, but they can add a lot of clarity and simplicity to your playing (the famous voicings on pages 3 and 4 are seemingly random). They are much easier to slide to any key you want and much easier to see similiarities and patterns between chords.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1030257 Composed by Gary William Barnett. Baroque,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 37 pages. Gary W Barnett #6141341. Published by Gary W Barnett (A0.1030257). The second book of the Tonal Sojourn series continues from where Book I left off (diatonic triads and NCTs). Book II begins with an introduction to diatonic seventh chords and segues to secondary dominants, secondary-leading tone chords, borrowed chords, the Neapolitan chord, augmented sixth chords, common-tone diminished chords, among others. The last compositions of Book II introduce common-chord, sequential, and common-tone modulations.

B-Flat Clarinet,Piano - Level 1 - SKU: A0.548510 Composed by Wade. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Christian,Christmas. Score and part. 4 pages. Jmsgu3 #3388105. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548510). O Come All Ye Faithful arranged with new harmony for the final verse. Score: 3 pages, part: 1 page. Clarinet in Bb. O Come, All Ye Faithful O Come, All Ye Faithful is an English translation of the Latin Christmas carol Adeste Fideles. No one knows exactly who wrote it. One theory holds that King John IV of Portugal (1604–1656) wrote it. Another theory says John F. Wade or John Reading wrote it. Nowadays, we usually attribute it to John Wade. Seems like the oldest manuscript from 1751, is owned by Stonyhurst College in Lancashire. Lyrics The English translation O Come, All Ye Faithful was certainly written by Frederick Oakeley, a Catholic priest in 1841. This translation is probably the most common in the English speaking states. To begin with, the hymn had only four verses. Later, the verses grew to eight. Music directors often cut various verses because otherwise, the song goes too long. Some believe that St. Bonaventure wrote the first Latin lyrics. Others hold that King John IV of Portugal is responsible. Yet even others think the Cistercian monks wrote them. King John IV King John IV of Portugal was called The Musician King. He became king in 1640. In addition to performing the duties of a king, he was also a composer and music journalist. King John built a very large music library. Unfortunately, the library was ruined in 1755 because of the massive earthquake of Lisbon. In addition to building his library, the king started a Music School that produced many accomplished musicians. The king also worked diligently to get instrumental music approved by the Vatican for use in his churches. Aside from his authorship of Adeste Fideles, he is famous for another popular choral setting of the Crux Fidelis, a prevalent Lenten hymn. Performance in Context Verses are sometimes left out because all eight verses would take too long to perform. More to the point though, some of the verses may be unsuitable for whatever of the church calendar they are intended. The eighth verse deals with the Epiphany, so it makes sense to sing this on Epiphany Sunday, but not other Sundays. Similarly, other verses are used according to whether the event is Midnight Mass or regular daytime Mass.

O Come All Ye Faithful arranged with new harmony for the final verse. Score: 3 pages, part: 1 page. Trumpet in Bb O Come, All Ye Faithful O Come, All Ye Faithful is an English translation of the Latin Christmas carol Adeste Fideles. No one knows exactly who wrote it. One theory holds that King John IV of Portugal (1604–1656) wrote it. Another theory says John F. Wade or John Reading wrote it. Nowadays, we usually attribute it to John Wade. Seems like Stonyhurst College in Lancashire owns the oldest manuscript. It is from the year 1751. Lyrics Frederick Oakeley, a Catholic priest in 1841 wrote the English translation. This translation is probably the most common in the English-speaking states. King John IV His subjects called King John IV of Portugal The Musician King. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - SKU: A0.490747 Composed by Moises Mendoza. Contemporary. Score. 9 pages. Moises Mendoza #106472. Published by Moises Mendoza (A0.490747). Lyrics derived from a poem by Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) called Alone, which was written in 1829. From childhood's hour I have not been As others were—I have not seen As others saw—I could not bring My passions from a common spring— From the same source I have not taken My sorrow—I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone— And all I lov'd—I lov'd alone— Then—in my childhood—in the dawn Of a most stormy life—was drawn From ev'ry depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still— From the torrent, or the fountain— From the red cliff of the mountain— From the sun that 'round me roll'd In its autumn tint of gold— From the lightning in the sky As it pass'd me flying by— From the thunder, and the storm— And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view—.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 5 - SKU: A0.854827 Composed by Daniel Elder. 20th Century,Contemporary. 112 pages. Daniel Elder Music #4851907. Published by Daniel Elder Music (A0.854827). This stunningly incisive chamber choir oratorio tells the whole story of Absalom's rebellion against his father, King David, far beyond the common text When David Heard. Featured alongside the biblical narrative are original studies of other historical characters that illuminate the most vital lessons for achieving peace in today's society. Inspired by a crisis of polarization, Absalom shines a critical light on the tribalism and gridlock of modern social politics in hopes of bringing us closer together again. From the composer, Absalom is a call to listen; not to protest others, not to educate others, but to connect with them. The painful truth I’ve come to in the process of birthing this work is that no one is safe from criticism in this modern struggle, and no one is safely on the right side of history. Every individual, including myself, lies in the crosshairs of this musical statement. Only by stepping outside the borders of what we think is comfortable will we learn understanding. And by learning understanding, peace just might follow. This challenging 30-minute work is recommended for smaller, advanced chamber choirs.

Large Ensemble Choir - Level 5 - SKU: A0.899601 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by C Blankenship. Baroque. Score and parts. 81 pages. C Blankenship #4984983. Published by C Blankenship (A0.899601). Messiah (HWV 56) is an English-language oratorio composed in 1741 by George Frideric Handel, with a scriptural text compiled by Charles Jennens from the King James Bible, and from the version of the Psalms included with the Book of Common Prayer. It was first performed in Dublin on 13 April 1742 and received its London premiere nearly a year later. After an initially modest public reception, the oratorio gained in popularity, eventually becoming one of the best-known and most frequently performed choral works in Western music. Handel's reputation in England, where he had lived since 1712, had been established through his compositions of Italian opera. He turned to English oratorio in the 1730s in response to changes in public taste; Messiah was his sixth work in this genre. Although its structure resembles that of opera, it is not in dramatic form; there are no impersonations of characters and no direct speech. Instead, Jennens's text is an extended reflection on Jesus Christ as Messiah. The text begins in Part I with prophecies by Isaiah and others, and moves to the annunciation to the shepherds, the only scene taken from the Gospels. In Part II, Handel concentrates on the Passion and ends with the Hallelujah chorus. In Part III he covers the resurrection of the dead and Christ's glorification in heaven. Handel wrote Messiah for modest vocal and instrumental forces, with optional settings for many of the individual numbers. In the years after his death, the work was adapted for performance on a much larger scale, with giant orchestras and choirs. In other efforts to update it, its orchestration was revised and amplified by (among others) Mozart. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries the trend has been towards reproducing a greater fidelity to Handel's original intentions, although big Messiah productions continue to be mounted. O Come, All Ye Faithful The traditional Adeste Fideles was arranged for a piano quartet ( piano, violin, viola & cello) featuring a thought-provoking re-harmonized final verse. Lever Harp - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1468126 Composed by Michael Giacchino. Arranged by Rachael Acheson. Broadway,Children,Contemporary,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Video Game. Score. 4 pages. TheHarpLibrarian #1046437. Published by TheHarpLibrarian (A0.1468126). This is my arrangement of Bundle of Joy from the Disney/Pixar film Inside Out for celtic or folk lever harp. It can be played on a lap harp model as small as 26 strings, like the Harpsicle Fullsicle that I am playing in the video, or on a larger floor harp. Your model must have levers, though, as the melody changes keys repeatedly and so relies on several quick lever changes. The lowest note is the E below middle C and the highest is the G two octaves above middle C. As such, it should work on many common small or lap harp models, including Harpsicle harps, some Roosebeck Pakistani harps (depending on the range), Dusty Strings Ravenna 26, Marini Made lap harps, Heartland Harps Air Serenity, and many others. As noted above, it can also work on a larger floor harp with levers. The piece is light, quick, and repetative. By far the hardest element in my opinion is the succession of levers changes in the melody, though these come easier with practice. But less experienced harpists may also want to take into account that there are a few harmonics, played on both hands, in the middle section, and that the song will sound odd if these are omitted. Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half page of score. When you download your purchase, you will recieve a pdf that contains both the preview and the full score.

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1444099 By Aaron Evans. By Aaron Evans. Arranged by Aaron Evans. A Cappella,Folk,Spiritual. 1 pages. Aaron Evans #1024045. Published by Aaron Evans (A0.1444099). Over recent years there have been an increasing number of movements encouraging the protection of the earth and her natural resources. One common thing amongst all of these movements is that we are in desperate need of sending her love. If, with everything we do, make or use, we do with love for the earth, we will be one step closer to building a greener future for our children.Tips for TeachingThis song has three different melodies that, when layered together, flow together as call and response. The S & A parts form one of these melodies, the T is another and the B the third.Something that my choirs have found useful to note is that in the first half, the phrases have an upward motion and in the second half a downward motion (with the exception of the tenor part). As an alternative to the words, for a performance, this could be sung through vowel sounds (ooh, ahh or hmm) with each melody offered the opportunity to ‘feature’ by singing the words over the others singing a vowel sound. For example, the S, A & B part ‘ooh' whilst the T sing their tune with the words.
