Piano Solo - Level 5 - SKU: A0.1011044 Composed by Daniel Alexander Apátiga. Contemporary,Instructional,Latin. Score. 17 pages. Daniel Alexander Apátiga #2967889. Published by Daniel Alexander Apátiga (A0.1011044). For virtuosic pianists who like to listen to Flamenco.Great for public concerts at concert halls, venues, pianist competitions, or for the purpose of impressing a lot of people. This piece is not appropriate for ill-equipped students and it is a great substitution to pieces created by the virtuosos of the Romantic period. This piece is designed to be performed at Churches because of its lifting-up, dance-like quality. Perfect for weddings, but less so during sermons. To perform this piece up to tempo, start slow repeating measures two-three times until it is in all three memory groups: muscular, visual, and auditory. Tweak your interpretation as you go along thinking about how what came before affected what comes after. This was composed in 2016, December, and on the piano.Approx. 5:15 minutes long.I have Soundcloud, but I do not have a recording of myself playing it yet. If you make a recording of yourself playing it, please let me know! Please message me on Soundcloud, email me, or call me with information about you and a link to your undoubtably fabulous interpretation! Violin Solo - Level 3 - SKU: A0.953769 Composed by Jennie Lou Klim. Contemporary,Instructional,Standards. 7 pages. Jennie Lou Klim #2946031. Published by Jennie Lou Klim (A0.953769). 1. Hippity Hoppity Harmonics 2. The Happy Whistler 3. The Musical Gymnast In each of these three tunes, the student plays several different harmonics. Each song needs to be played slowly at first to discover where the harmonic is located, and to grasp the rhythmic and bowing patterns. As an educator, Jennie Lou Klim has written numerous method books for violin, viola, cello, and bass; begun string programs in public school systems; directed summer string camps; and conducted workshops with beginning, as well as established strings teachers. The selected harmonic tunes are from Book V of the One Step At A Time series. .

Piano Solo - Level 2 - SKU: A0.998877 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Instructional. Score. 4 pages. Robert A. Howard #6480939. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.998877). The Fragment series of short piano pieces was conceived for pianists of almost any standard. As suggested in the title, each piece is based on a single compositional fragment or sketch that had otherwise remained incomplete and dormant. Fragment V is based on a 28-bar added-note chord sequence in a persistently syncopated rhythm. This pattern appears four-fold, each with cumulative variation. The initial sequence is purely harmonic, while the second cycle adds a simple bass line outlining cadences. The third appearance transforms the aforementioned bass line into a more scalic pattern. Following a sudden silence, the fourth cycle is curtailed and adds a simple melodic line in the treble part, before a final resolution. The piece is highly accessible and is appropriate for almost all standards of pianist, including students and more advanced players. Other works from the Fragment cycle are also available via Sheet Music Plus.Duration: 4 minutes 00 seconds.Registered with PRS (Performing Rights Society, UK).Composer's website: www.roberthowardmusic.co.uk

Bach is featured on the newest album release Fom Afar by acclaimed Icelandic pianist VÃkingur Ólafsson.Intermediate LevelFormat: Concert, 9 x 12 inches.5 pages.Program notesJohann Sebastian Bach's third sonata for solo violin, BWV 1005, is an incomparable masterwork of Baroque music. Written in 1720, this sonata continues Bach's mastery of the solo violin, balancing lyrical expressivity and technical complexity within a single work.  The opening Adagio movement is particularly beloved for its slow, passionate melody and depth of emotion. The movement's simple structure – two repeating harmonic progressions that contrast and combine – is especially beautiful in its unadorned melodic lines and sonorous tones. At the same time, the movement is filled with subtle variations and technical challenges, making it a dazzling display of Bach's technical brilliance.  Come and experience Bach's heartfelt music. You will be warmed by its passionate lyricism, enchanted by its technical mastery, and moved by its profound emotional depth.

For 4 to 8 of the following instruments: Flute, Soprano Sax, Bb Clarinet, Alto Sax, French Horn, Trombone, Bassoon, Baritone Saxophone PLUS, Marimba and Piano.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sio4HdW28x4&feature=youtu.beSuggested arrangements of instrumentation (all parts are included in purchase, plus score):1. All 10 parts. 2. Flute, Bb Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Marimba, Piano. 3. Soprano Sax, Alto Sax, Bari Sax, Trombone, Marimba, PianoTime: Approximately 6:42The title came from the piece being dedicated to the composer’s wife. This composition reminded the composer of her delightful and kind character and her amazing and creative aptitude for organizing and resolving complicated issues. PianoThe composition process began with the opening piano motif. The harmonic and rhythmic foundation for this work is provided by the piano part. The piano serves a steady percussion with a repeating two-measure pattern of 8th notes. It also provides the harmonic foundation with an evolving arrangement of harmonies, which gradually change as the treble clef and bass clef harmonic progressions continually shift over time. The Wind Instruments This piece is comprised of three sections. Section A and C are similar in structure and harmony. In these two sections, the right hand of the piano part repeats a six-measure pattern composed of three triads: F, Edim and Dm. The left hand outlines a repeating eight-measure pattern of four triads: F, Dm, Cm and Bb. As these patterns repeat, the extra two measures in the bass clef cause the patterns to shift out of phase. This brings about a new set of harmonies for each repetition until the patterns begin again on the F major triad. The wind instruments are employed as a rhythmic and melodic counterpoint to the piano. Individually, and as a unit, they reinforce the harmony and rhythmic figures of the piano through echoing and syncopation. Section B utilizes the harmonic progressions of the other two sections but more notes to the triads to extend the harmony (examples: 9th, 11th and 13th chords.) There is also a clear contrast between the rhythms and harmony of the piano versus the wind instruments. The rhythmic and harmonic flow of this section decelerates until there is a complete stop. Section C begins abruptly with the wind instruments taking over the piano’s opening motif. This last section utilizes the same harmonic and rhythmic patterns as section A but the wind instruments become more active in their melodic and rhythmic counterpoint. The last part of this section is eventually dominated by the saxophone and low brass with a strong reiteration of the opening motif.

Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 78 pages. ERIC V BOLVIN #3579873. Published by ERIC V BOLVIN (A0.829070). All teachers and students can use this book. It is simply an outline for developing a consistent practice routine. Sections A and B should consist of exercises that are for the instrument. For trumpet this may include flexibility, long tones, scales, arpeggios, buzzing, pedal tones or any other technical exercise. Sections C, D and E should be used for assignments concerning music. These could include etudes, jazz transcriptions, orchestral excerpts, concertos, ensemble parts or any other musical application. The indications for REST are very important for all brass players. You must always rest as much as you play during the A and B sections of the lesson. This is the warm-up section of your routine and you will feel better if you take your time during these first and most important steps. If you become fatigued during parts A or B, you are not resting enough and shouldstart fresh the next day, all the while considering the fact that you have not rested properly. The opposing manuscript page is for writing scales, exercises, tunes, licks, notes, or whatever you wish to write there. The book also has a space at the bottom for students to write down how much time they practice each day.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - SKU: A0.1216197 By Brian Golden. By Brian Golden. Arranged by Brian Golden. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Brian Golden #812808. Published by Brian Golden (A0.1216197). Prelude 12 in Bb Minor Dorian from 24 Preludes for the Piano in Major and Minor Modes by composer Brian Golden  The creative concept in writing these preludes is to provide a link to past preludes written for the keyboard, and in particular to the works of J.S. Bach and Frederic Chopin, whose works stand as essential repertoire for any student of the piano.  Using Bach’s and Chopin’s examples, my goal was to compose in all twenty-four keys, yet offer my own variation on the progression of key signatures – Bach’s being a pattern of major to parallel minor progressing chromatically through all keys, and Chopin’s a pattern of major to relative minor keys progressing clockwise through the circle of fifths.  In order to expand my harmonic and melodic possibilities, I have included the modal keys rather than only the major and harmonic minor keys, and have chosen to work counterclockwise through the circle of fifths, which is a more natural harmonic progression.  Therefore, all major preludes resolve from one to another V-I, as well as do all the minor preludes.  While there are seven modal scales, I decided to leave out the locrian modes for the following reasons.  First, due to the diminished fifth, the locrian mode cannot be thought of as either major nor minor.  Second, the locrian mode did not have a relative key to pair with, since there were no other keys with the identical characteristic notes.  In creating the key architecture, I determined that there was only one solution to pairing major and relative minor scales based on a shared parent key and characteristic note - ionian/aolian, mixolydian/phrygian and lydian/dorian.  This specific order of modal scales is the only order that would enable composing in all twelve key signatures.  Finally, the inspiration for each prelude came from playing through several other preludes in the same keys - mostly by Bach and Chopin - and letting their themes and styles influence me in the writing of my own.YouTube Link https://youtu.be/xb4E0I-vJek.

Finally, the inspiration for each prelude came from playing through several other preludes in the same keys - mostly by Bach and Chopin - and letting their themes and styles influence me in the writing of my own.
