O once I courted a pretty little girl And I loved her as my life. I’d freely give my heart and hand To have made her my wife, O to have made her my wife. A young man found his love, but after being gone for six months, received a letter telling him he was no longer welcome. He will always miss her rosy cheeks and fluttering tongue.Tempo: 110Duration: 1 minute 20 secondsFlute Choir.

Concert Band - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1081763 Composed by Alan Silvestri. Arranged by Graham Boag. 20th Century,Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show. Score and parts. 187 pages. Graham Boag #685889. Published by Graham Boag (A0.1081763). Back to the Future is a 1985 American science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis, and written by Zemeckis and Bob Gale. It stars Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and Thomas F. Wilson. Set in 1985, the story follows Marty McFly (Fox), a teenager accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time-traveling DeLorean automobile built by his eccentric scientist friend Doctor Emmett Doc Brown (Lloyd). Trapped in the past, Marty inadvertently prevents his future parents' meeting-threatening his existence-and is forced to reconcile the pair and somehow get back to the future. Back to the Future was conceived of in 1980 by Gale and Zemeckis. They were desperate for a successful film after numerous collaborative failures, but their idea was rejected over 40 times by studios because it was not considered raunchy enough to compete with the successful comedies of the era. A development deal was secured following Zemeckis' success directing Romancing the Stone (1984). Fox was the first choice to portray Marty, but he was unavailable; Eric Stoltz was cast instead. Shortly after principal photography began in November 1984, Zemeckis determined Stoltz was not right for the part and made the concessions necessary to hire Fox. This included re-filming scenes already shot with Stoltz and adding $4 million to the budget. Back to the Future was filmed in and around California and on sets at Universal Studios. Filming concluded the following April. Replacing Stoltz delayed production and the film's release date but, following highly successful test screenings, the date was brought forward to July 3, 1985, to give Back to the Future more time in theaters. This resulted in a rushed post-production schedule, and some incomplete special effects. Back to the Future was a critical and commercial success, earning $381.1 million to become the highest-grossing film of 1985 worldwide. Critics praised the story, comedy, and the cast-particularly Fox, Lloyd, Thompson, and Glover. It received multiple award nominations and won an Academy Award, Saturn Awards, and a Hugo Award. Its theme song, The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News, was a significant success globally. In the years since its release, Back to the Future has grown in esteem and is now considered to be among the greatest films of the 1980s, one of the best science-fiction films ever made, and one of the greatest films of all time. In 2007, the United States Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry. The film was followed by two sequels, Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Back to the Future Part III (1990). With its effect on popular culture and a dedicated fan following, Back to the Future launched a multimedia franchise. This includes an animated television series, video games, comic books, board games, clothing, music, books, food, toys, collectibles, and theme park rides. Its enduring popularity has led to numerous books about its production, documentaries, and commercials. Back to the Future has been adapted into a 2020 stage musical.

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1017074 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by Eoin Buchanan. Contemporary. Score and parts. 37 pages. 7plc Music #6079123. Published by 7plc Music (A0.1017074). Winterreise or Winter Journey takes me back to my days at music college when this was a set study piece. Twenty Four songs with sixteen (I think) in the minor key tell of the rejected lover's journey into winter, leaving behind his rich lover. This is an arrangement of the first song in the cycle. Performers need to make sure that the speed is kept to a moderate walk and that the solo parts, tuba and trombone are not drowned in too much of a Mahlerian style. Just enjoy and perhaps even read a good translation of the text before performing.

Published by 7plc Music (A0.1017082). A song full of rejection and outpouring of grief. Our rejected lover weeps floods of tears and watches them freeze in the snow. His thoughts of spring when the snow will melt and carry his tears through the street to the one he still loves.Alto trombone takes the lead in this arrangement, its gorgeous tone almost crying out like our lover. Wagner tubas join horns to add sonority to the setting with other instruments creating further depth and range.Enjoy!

SKU: S9.Q25917 Vocal Score based on the Richard Wagner Complete Edition edited by Wolfgang M. Wagner. Composed by Richard Wagner. This edition: vocal/piano score. Erstveröffentlichung - Oper - Theater. Wagner Urtext Piano/Vocal Scores. Downloadable, Piano reduction. Schott Music - Digital #Q25917. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q25917). German • French. An important addition to Schott's newly published orchestral material is the first publication of piano scores for the ten major operas by Richard Wagner in all major versions. For the first time, we offer the stages and interested opera lovers piano scores as urtext editions that were designed according to uniform editorial criteria.•The score is aligned with the performance material of the Complete Edition. •All piano scores have study numbers and continuous measure numbers for rehearsal and study practice. •The editors are renowned musicologists from the circles of those working on the Richard Wagner Complete Edition who contribute detailed information on the respective editions to the critical prefaces.•The prefaces are printed in three languages (German, English, French). •The uniform appealing cover design with reproductions of paintings from the Wagner era emphasizes the serial character of the edition.TANNHÄUSERFor the Richard Wagner Complete Edition, the editors Egon Voss, Peter Jost and Reinhard Strohm as well as Cristina UrchueguÃa have researched and presented Tannhäuser's genesis and history of more than thirty years, which also took about thirty years of scientific work, on 2,959 pages in eight volumes. With the present piano score, the findings gathered therein shall now also to be made accessible for the musical practice. (Wolfgang M. Wagner, quoted from the foreword to the new Tannhäuser piano score)The piano score unites for the first time all four stages of the work (the score as of 1845, the score as of 1860, the Paris version as of 1861/62 with the complete French text of this version, and the Vienna version as of 1875) in a single excerpt for rehearsal and study practice, thus allowing the comparison of the versions, without sacrificing practicability. All variants are printed one after the other in the chronological sequence of the action on the stage, so that each of them can be explored in their context of action by simply turning over the pages. Only two variants rejected before the Paris premiere were printed separately in the appendix. A fascinating insight into Richard Wagner's thinking in terms of stage practice and into his very precise ideas of tonal balance, scenic details and role-conception are made possible by the quotations printed in key passages from his work On the Performance of Tannhäuser, published in 1852.For example, soon after the world premiere, Wagner suggested the deletion of bars in the orchestral part in the 4th scene of Act I, reasoning that […] due to the tremendous woodenness and self-consciousness of our usual supernumeraries, the impression of overwhelming liveliness, which was intended by me and which was to imply a heightening of the mood led up to by the liveliest manifestations of life, was not achieved. (piano reduction, p. 221)In the big ensemble scene at the end of Act II, Wagner puts in a comment at a certain passage, referring to the conductor and his great responsibility for tonal balance:The exclamations 'Ach, erbarm' dich mein!' require such a piercing emphasis that he [the performer of Tannhauser] as a mere, well-trained singer is not enough; it is but the highest dramatic art that has to provide him the energy of pain and desperation for an expression that must seem to break forth from the most gruesome depths of an awfully woeful heart, like a cry for salvation. The conductor has to ensure that the implied success is made possible for the principal singer by the most discrete accompaniment of the other singers as well as of the orchestra. (piano reduction, p. 367)3 (3. auch Picc.) · 2 · 2 · Bassklar. [nicht in Pariser F.] · 2 - 2 Ventilhr. · 2 Waldhr. · 3 Ventiltrp. · 3 · 1 [Pariser F.: Ophicléïde] - P. S. (Trgl. · Beck. · Tamb. · gr. Published by 7plc Music (A0.1017083). Our rejected lover continues his journey through winter. Heart frozen, shivering with the rejection and dejection, number by cold and depression and watching his tears melting the snow as they fall. This arrangement is to say the very least, tricky, calling for technical expertise, irregular phrasing, stamina and brilliant ensemble playing. I have tried to share the technical burden of the continuous triplet motif.Read the text which Schubert set in this song full of pathos and raw beauty.Enjoy!

Score. 5 pages. Jhavilah #865165. Published by Jhavilah (A0.1272977). Comme d'Habitude is a French song composed in 1967 by Jacques Revaux, with lyrics by Claude François and Gilles Thibaut. The song is about routine in a relationship falling out of love. Here are some more details about the song:The song was originally written as a ballad named For Me with English lyrics about a couple falling out of love. The demo was then sent to Petula Clark, Dalida, and Claude François, but it was rejected. It showcases the songwriting talents of Jacques Revaux, Claude François, and Gilles Thibaut, as well as the emotional depth and resonance of the song's themes. The song is about routine in a relationship falling out of love. Here are some more details about the song: The song was originally written as a ballad named For Me with English lyrics about a couple falling out of love. The demo was then sent to Petula Clark, Dalida, and Claude François, but it was rejected. Jacques Revaux rejected a version by Hervé Villard and reworked the track into Comme d'habitude with the help of Claude François. François accepted but asked that an underlying theme of a couple in a strained relationship be included, in reference to his recent breakup with fellow French singer France Gall. With some rewriting from Gilles Thibaut, the song became Comme d'habitude in its best-known version in French, which was released by Claude François in 1968. The song became a hit in France and was later covered by many artists, including Frank Sinatra, who released it as My Way with English lyrics by Paul Anka.
