Fl. Pft. - Intermediate-Advanced - SKU: F2.FM519 Composed by Richard Lambert. Flute and Piano. Score and Part. 9 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM519. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM519). ISBN 9790570484188.This piece is a reworking of the song 'An End' from the composer's song cycle ...too bitter sweet (Op. 27) and takes its title from a line in the Rosetti poem, which suggests an overall mood of regret and nostalgia. Based on a rising minor arpeggio in an E modal minor tonality, the main theme is varied slightly on each statement. Likewise the secondary motif, first heard in bars 27 to 30, is presented differently each time. Wistful throughout and unashamedly melodic, the flute is in constant dialogue with the piano accompaniment.

"Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1965 album Rubber Soul. It was written mainly by John Lennon and credited to the Lennon?McCartney songwriting partnership. Influenced by the introspective lyrics of Bob Dylan, the song is considered a milestone in the Beatles' development as songwriters. The track features a sitar part, played by lead guitarist George Harrison, that marked the first appearance of the Indian string instrument on a Western rock recording. The song was a number 1 hit in Australia when released on a single there in 1966, coupled with "Nowhere Man".
Lennon wrote the song as a veiled account of an extramarital affair he had in London. When recording the track, Harrison chose to add a sitar part after becoming interested in the instrument's exotic sound while on the set of the Beatles' film Help!, in early 1965. Further to several British bands, including the Beatles, using guitars to imitate the drone and other musical textures of the sitar in their recordings, "Norwegian Wood" was influential in the development of raga rock andpsychedelic rock during the mid 1960s. The song also helped elevate Ravi Shankar and Indian classical music to mainstream popularity in the West. Many other rock and pop artists, including the Byrds, the Rolling Stones and Donovan, began integrating elements of the genre into their musical approach. "Norwegian Wood" is also recognised as a key work in the early evolution of world music.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1250389 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 10 pages. Kevin G. Pace #844701. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1250389). A beautiful, sacred choral arrangement with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:Our Savior's touch, well known where'er He wandered, Displayed his great power when miracles were wrought. A cured disease, or blinded no longer, Unveiled mighty wonders as He so aptly taught. Our Savior's touch healed agonizing suff'rings. A leper's skin would so quickly be made clean. He stilled the seas and minds from mortal threat'nings. He raised up the dead, thus setting other's free. Our Savior's touch showed individual reaching, So yoking the Healer with ev'ry mended soul. Our Savior showed His love without ceasing. He worked miracles to make ev'ry mortal whole. Our Savior's touch proclaims his mighty power. He lends His strength as each soul will beseech. As He bestows pure love each daily hour. Each tender touch brings His miracles of peace.Chorus:He is a God of miracles, a God of love, a God of mercy, a gift from above. His touch shows compassion, our souls to tend. He is our Healer, all hearts to mend.

Voice and piano (2 songs with violoncello; 1 vocal duet) - Medium - SKU: MQ.8491-40E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. 4 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8491-40E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8491-40E). French.A French composer, Théodore Gouvy (1819-1898) was one of the most significant composers of 19th Century in Europe. The movement of rediscovering his instrumental music has been increasingly successful in Europe since the 1990s, especially following the birth of L’Institut Gouvy in France. However, his solo vocal music has been waiting to be unveiled to the public. Volume One includes 52 songs of Gouvy.Gouvy traveled widely throughout Europe. He was also a lover of nature. Generally, he spent his winters in Leipzig, but in the summertime, he always returned to Hombourg-Haut, France, to stroll through the woods, to hunt, and to relax. Gouvy was fluent in several languages and had a great appreciation of the Renaissance French Poetry of Pierre de Ronsard whose poetry he had set to music. The fifty-two songs in this volume are largely by Ronsard and other Renaissance poets of La Pléiade.Although Ronsard is approximately 300 years older than Gouvy, they both seem to have the same interest in classical literature, though, admittedly, for different reasons. Celebrated by the French and English courts, Ronsard (1525-1585) was the leader of La Pléiade: a group of seven poets (Joachim Du Bellay (1522-1560), Rémy Belleau (1528-1577), Étienne Jodelle (1532-1573), Pontus de Tyard (1521-1603), Jean–Antoine Baïf (1532-1589), and Jean Daurat (1508-1588), who dedicated their efforts to writing poetry in French rather than in Latin (or Greek) as most of the Romantic poets did. They wished to enrich the French language, and establish a new literature which would be the equal of the other literature of their period, and the equal to poets of the past. French Romantic poetry featured the closeness of the poet to nature, and his ability to communicate with nature by personifying (anthropomorphizing) all of nature’s elements: flowers, the planets, the moon, the breeze, and even the sand upon the shore. As a significant melodist, Gouvy’s treatment of the vocal solo line and his treatment and development of the piano accompaniment places him in the upper echelons as a composer of songs. His diverse cultural life led a rich and significant musical life, interacting with his contemporaries who admired his work, and whom Gouvy knew well, such as Liszt, Brahms, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Berlioz and Gounod.

Voice and piano (2 songs with violoncello; 1 vocal duet) - Medium - SKU: MQ.8491-04E Composed by MeeAe Cecilia Nam and Theodore Gouvy. 5 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8491-04E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8491-04E).
