Après une expérience pop-rock, il étudie la théorie classique, suit l'enseignement des compositeurs Alain Roizenblat, Michel Decoust et Philippe Leroux - il reçoit alors plusieurs Premiers Prix (Orchestration, Composition...) et un D.E.M. en électro-acoustique.
