Ce recueil de 12 pièces pour clarinettiste ? dès la 3e année d?instrument ? et bande-son est le fruit des multiples expériences pédagogiques et musicales vécues tout au long de ma carrière de musicien et d?enseignant. Bien que ces pièces aient un caractère pédagogique (on y aborde des aspects techniques de l?instrument, des modes de jeu particuliers?), elles ont avant tout vocation à être jouées en public. Parmi les nombreux projets auxquels j?ai participé, le ciné-concert est une forme très singulière qui m?a amené à chercher différents bruitages pour renforcer la dramaturgie. Je tentai donc d?inclure ces éléments sonores dans la musique, que ce soit sur le plan tonal (une cocotte-minute dans la tonalité du morceau) ou rythmique (un coup de feu à contretemps). Ainsi, ces ciné-concerts étaient les prémices de l?écriture des pièces que vous allez découvrir dans ce recueil. Les premières mélodies accompagnées d?une bande-son faite de bruitages, ont été mises au point pour mes élèves saxophonistes ; devant leur engouement, j?ai poursuivi la composition de nouveaux morceaux en prenant en compte leurs réactions, et parfois leurs propositions ! Pendant des mois je me suis demandé si ce lave-vaisselle était plutôt ternaire, ce mixeur en La, ou encore si cet oiseau chantait vraiment en sept temps? C?est drôle, intéressant et surtout ludique. Enfin pour les élèves, jouer avec une mouche, ou sur le rebond d?une balle de ping-pong ou encore avec le son des gouttes d?eau, est visiblement plus amusant que de travailler au métronome? et tout aussi efficace ! Vous pourrez remarquer que peu de nuances sont notées. Ce n'est pas un oubli ou un manque d'intérêt mais le volume de la bande-son impose globalement une nuance mf (mises à part quelques exceptions). Vous pouvez bien sûr choisir des nuances à votre guise. Le CD joint offre la bande-son élaborée pour ce recueil, ainsi que l?enregistrement complet des différentes pièces. L?ensemble des fichiers audio est également accessible en téléchargement. Parmi ces compositions, deux peuvent être jouées avec un(e) élève pianiste (La poule à thé, Les chevals) ; la partition de piano ? accessible à partir de la 3e année d?instrument ? est disponible en téléchargement. Deux duos à deux clarinettes (Gouttes d?eau, Bricolage à la chaîne) peuvent aussi être joués en invitant un(e) élève saxophoniste ou flûtiste, car ce recueil existe également pour ces instruments. Les parties de saxophone et de flûte en duo sont néanmoins disponibles en téléchargement avec ce cahier. Dans le cadre d?une exécution publique, des essais sonores avant le concert seront nécessaires afin de trouver un équilibre entre l?instrument et la bande-son, tant pour l?instrumentiste que pour le public. Veillez à une diffusion en stéréo afin d?optimiser les divers effets, et pensez à donner au public le titre avant d?interpréter une pièce, cela lui permettra d?être dans l?ambiance dès le départ du morceau.
