Gordon will give you an insight into how keyboardists play rhythm Keyboard grooves in many different styles of contemporary music such as: Pop Rock Blues Jazz Funk R&B Latin Gospel New Age Reggae Calypso. Each of the 21 grooves is broken down into patterns ranging from 3 up to 16 with over 150 patterns in total. Each groove uses a chord progression that is commonly used for that style of music and generally starts off with a simplified pattern and as you progress through the groove the patterns become more complex both rhythmically and harmonically.The CD that accompaniesthis book contains all the patterns that are notated in the book. Each pattern is recorded twice 1st. with the Keyboard rhythm part playing along with a rhythm section of Organ Guitar Bass and Drums and in certain grooves percussion 2nd. the rhythm section without the piano rhythm part so you can practice along. Also there are extended 2-3 minute play-a-long mp3 files of all 21 grooves contained on the CD that can be accessed from a computer enabling you to practice each groove and pattern for an extended period of time. Polonaises-La polonaise apparaît dans la musique savante dès la fin du 16e siècle en tant que danse styli-sée. Chopin commença à se consacrer à ce genre quasiment dès l?enfance rendant ainsi égale-ment hommage à son pays natal. En effet son ?uvre imprimée la plus ancienne est une polo-naise (KK IIa no 1 en sol mineur) composée à l?âge de sept ans. De même les trois polonaises op. 71 ainsi que KK IVa no 1 à 3 5 et 8 publiées à titre posthume sont des ?uvres de jeunesse datant de la période où il vivait à Varsovie. Les sept grandes polonaises op. 26 no 1 et 2 op. 40 no 1 et 2 op. 44 et 53 et en particulier la Polonaise-Fantaisie op. 61 de 1845/46 qui est aussi la dernière grande?uvre pour piano de Chopin sont des ?uvres de la maturité. Dans leur mélange de solennité et d?élégance de force et de douceur de pathos héroïque et d?humeur délicate elles sont toutes les témoins du grand art de ce compositeur.

Impromptus-Conform?ment ? ce genre cr?? par Franz Schubert les quatre impromptus de Chopin pr?sentent un fort caract?re d???improvisation tout en restant toujours parfaitement l?gers et ?l?gants. Ces qualit?s s???appliquent en particulier aux trois premiers morceaux du pr?sent volume les opus 29 36 et 51. Tandis que le premier d???entre eux date vraisemblablement de 1837 l???op. 36 fut compos? en 1839 et l???opus 51 trois ans plus tard pendant le s?jour de Chopin au domaine de Nohant appartenant ? l????crivain George Sand avec qui il entretenait une relation amoureuse. Le num?ro d???opus de la Fantaisie-Impromptu op. 66 est trompeur car elle fut compos?e en 1834 soit avant les trois autresimpromptus. Chopin n???avait manifestement pas pr?vu de la faire publier mais son ami Julian Fontana se chargea de le faire apr?s la mort du compositeur. La version imprim?e d?note toutefois des diff?rences tellement importantes par rapport au manuscrit autographe heureusement conserv? que l????dition Henle-Urtext reproduit les deux versions.
