In this book, you will find a series of rhythmic patterns (motifs), each of which is followed by eight lines of musical exercises in which that rhythmic motif is incorporated. Lines 9 and 10 have been left blank: it is up to you to think of two exercises using the motif concerned to complete the missing staves.
