For violin cello and piano'The title 'Time Will Pronounce'is taken from the last lines of Joseph Brodsky’s poem 'Bosnia Tune' which deals with the horror of the unnecessary unacceptable daily deaths in Bosnia during 1992 (andstill in 1993): ‘Time whose sharp blood-thirsty quill parts the killed from those who kill will pronounce the latter tribe as your type’. The violin and cello are (generally) treated as a unit independent of the piano. Theform (generally) alternates slow and fast tempi without motivation. The musical ideas are (generally) carried over from section to section. (Generally) the harmonic melodic and textual materials features third and semitonesderived (generally) from the movement of the bass part in the opening bars.

Les ?uvres contenues dans ce volume III présentent presque toutes de petites particularités: l?op. 44 n?est pas un trio à part entière mais se compose d?un unique mouvement de variations le WoO 37 fut écrit alors que Beethoven se trouvait encore à Bonn et se distingue par son instrumentation (piano flûte et basson) le WoO 39 fut écrit pour la petite Maximiliane fille de la famille Brentano «pourl?encourager à jouer du piano» l?op. 38 est une adaptation pour piano clarinette et violoncelle du septuor op. 20 et le dernier morceau n?est parvenu à la postérité que sous la forme figurant dans le cahier d?esquisses utilisé par Beethoven lorsqu?il était à Bonn. Aucune de ces ?uvres n?a l?envergure de ses grands trios avec piano mais elles restent néanmoins des témoins de son grand art.

Albumblatt für Arriaga, commissioned by the Trio Arriaga and lasting some 7:30 minutes, is the composer's fourth contribution to the classical violin, cello and piano ensemble, for which he has a special esteem. The work was written in homage to the composer Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga, and at the same time as a token of gratitude and admiration for the Trio Arriaga, to whose members the work is dedicated; a double motivation that is reflected in the title of the work. Its course is presided over by a markedly lyrical character that coexists with passages full of energy, rhythmic vivacity and drama. The introduction and epilogue of the work are based on a musical motif derived from the name of the Basque composer (Ju-A-n C-r-I-S-ostomo A-rr-I-A-G-A), made up of the notes A, C, E, Eb, A, E, E, A, G, A, in the manner of a musical acrostic, and from whose nature the harmonic and thematic material of the whole work is largely derived. This three movement piano trio from Giselher Klebe's late period of creativity originates from his estate. The composition's appeal lies in the clear, restrained diction whilst at the same time a high intensity of expression is achieved. Two diverse slow outer movements with eruptive injections frame a lively middle movement.
