Along with Symphonies Nos. 79 and 81 Haydn?s D-minor Symphony Hob. I:80 belongs to a set of symphonies that he completed in late 1784. He wrote them for his employer Prince Nikolaus Esterházy his task being to entertain the prince with new music. The symphonies had to be suitable for the twenty-five to thirty musicians who were in the prince?s orchestra.Continuing the cooperation between Bärenreiter and the G. Henle publishing company regarding Haydn?s large choral works operas and symphonies this edition is based on the G. Henle Complete Edition of the ?Works of Joseph Haydn?.Bärenreiter has already published the complete performance material forseveral ?Sturm und Drang? symphonies and all the London and Paris symphonies.

(+)
The complete score of Franz Joseph Haydn’s Sinfonia No.99 In E Flat edited from the autograph authentic copies and early editions by H.C. Robbins Landon. This is the Full Orchestra Score composed in 1793 as the first of six symphonies written for Haydn’s second visit to England. It is a typically impressive symphony four movements full of musicality and excitement despite its characteristic slow opening. This piece is warm and expressive with a melancholy Adagio which seems to reflect the death of one of Haydn’s close friend earlier that year.

(+)
Based on the Henle Complete Edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn.Orchestral parts available in a large format (25.5 x 32.5 cm).Haydn?s Symphony No.26 received its nickname Lamentazione during his lifetime though it is unclear whether this stems directly from the composer. This work probably originated no later than 1770. Its first and second movements quote excerpts from Gregorian chants used in Holy Week. In Haydn?s day it was customary to play individual movements in church services and it may be assumed that these two movements were performed and possibly composed independently from each other.Continuing thecollaboration between Bärenreiter and the Henle publishing company in the areas of large-scale choral works operas and symphonies Haydn?s Symphony No.26 is appearing based on the Henle Complete Edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn. The complete performance material for several of Haydn?s Sturm und Drang symphonies and all of the London and Paris symphonies has already been published.

The Sturm Und Drang works contain not only masterpieces such as the already published Farewell Symphony and the Maria Theresia symphony but also gems such as the recently published La Passione symphony (2013) and now Symphony No. 46 In B.The publication of this symphony represents a continuation of the collaboration between Bärenreiter and the Henle publishing company in the areas of large vocal compositions operas and symphonic works. This Urtext edition full score for the Orchestra is based on the Henle CompleteEdition Of The Works Of Joseph Haydn.

(+)
Haydn composed his Symphony no. 76 at the same time as his Symphonies nos. 77 and 78 for a planned trip to England that never took place. Nonetheless, H. C. Robbins Landon calls these works the ?English symphonies? as they arestylistically closely linked to the ?London Bach?, Johann Christian Bach. Haydn himself, in a letter of 1783 to his Parisian publisher Charles-Georges Boyer, described the symphonies as ?Leicht und nicht vil Concertirend?, meaningthat they were light in spirit and did not contain extensive solo passages but rather a clear sense of classical form. Continuing the cooperation between Bärenreiter and the G. Henle publisher regarding Haydn?s large-scalechoral works, operas and symphonies, this edition is based on the G. Henle Complete Edition of the ?Works of Joseph Haydn?. The Bärenreiter catalogue now includes the complete performance material for several ?Sturm und Drang?symphonies as well as all the London and Paris symphonies.

(+)
Haydn's Symphony No.8 is the final piece in his triptych on the times of the day consisting of the symphonies Le Matin Le Midi and Le Soir (Hoboken I:6-8). The cycle originated in 1761 on a commission from Haydn's patron Prince Anton Esterházy. Whether the Prince was hoping for a counterpart to Vivaldi's famous concertos on the four seasons or pursued a different idea can no longer be determined. It was doubtless the purpose of these concertante symphonies to present to a select audience the Prince's chamber ensemble which had been assembled or expanded that spring as well as its new conductor. The pieces are laid out on a large scale full of pomp andsplendour and the scoring at times divided into thirteen separate parts offers virtually every player an opportunity to display his prowess as a soloist. At that time the Esterházy ensemble was made up of six or seven players of the violin or viola (the seventh was actually retained as a flautist) one player each of the violoncello and violone two oboists doubling on flute two horn players and a bassoonist. This listing includes Haydn himself who conducted the ensemble from the first violinist's desk. Contrary to a widely held belief there was no harpsichord. Indeed the only genres that employed a keyboard instrument at that time in the Viennese area were vocal - namely operas cantatas and church music.Urtext from Joseph Haydn WerkeFull score & parts (BA4673) available for sale

London No. 12-Joseph Haydn's 'Eulenburg Pocket Score' is the result of his second trip to England in 1794. This work is one of the still popular from the series of the so-called '12 London Symphonies' (Hob. 1/93 - Hob. 104).The work characterized by musical finesse and various sonic stimuli has the following four movements: I. Adagio - Allegro - II. Allegretto (C major) - III. Menuet: Moderato - IV. Presto. The somewhat unusual epithet 'military symphony' refers essentially to the second and the fourth movement ('Allegretto' and 'Presto') in which the instrumentation is enriched by timpani triangle cymbals and bass drum and thereby the evokes the impression of amilitary band. A 'trumpet signal' especially set in the second movement led to such a characterization. On the value and importance of this G major Symphony the following article from the Allgemeine Musikalische Zeitung of April 1799 reveals: 'It is a little less learned and easier to grasp than some of the other's newest works but new ones Ideas just as rich as they. Perhaps the surprise in music can not be furthered than it is here by the sudden collapse of full Janissary music in the minor of the second movement-since until then one has no suspicion that these Turkish instruments are attached to the symphony. But here too not only the inventive but also the prudent artist shows. Nevertheless the Andante is nevertheless a whole: for in all the pleasing and easy things that the composer in order to infer from the idea of his coup deceitfully brought it into the first part of it it is nevertheless arranged and worked in a march.' The 'Military Symphony' was premiered on March 31 1799 in London.

The twelve ?London Symphonies? comprise the sublime final statement of Haydn?s symphonic ?uvre. They were written for the London impresario Johann Peter Salomon and Haydn himself conducted their premieres during his lengthy stays in the English metropolis in 1791/92 and 1794/95. Hailing from 1791 the Symphony in D major no. 96 numbers among the first symphonies written in and for London. The epithet given to it by posterity ?The Miracle? was bestowed erroneously for the miracle ? that no one was injured when a chandelier fell during a concert ? took place during a performance of a different Haydn symphony. And yet it is a miracle of musical esprit nonetheless from the subtlerelations between the motives consisting of broken triads that open all four movements to the virtuosic shifts in mood owing to surprising harmonies Haydn here submits a prime example of how he develops musical ideas. This study edition adopts the musical text of the Haydn Complete Edition thereby guaranteeing the highest scholarly quality. An informative preface and a brief Critical Report make the handy score an ideal companion for all current and soon-to-be Haydn fans. Symphony in D major Hob. I:104-The twelve London Symphoniesâ? comprise the sublime final statement of Haydnâ??s symphonic Å?uvre. They were written for the London impresario Johann Peter Salomon and Haydn himself conducted their premieres during his lengthy stays in the English metropolis in 1791/92 and 1794/95. The D-major Symphony no. 104 was composed as the last of the London Symphoniesâ? in early 1795 and is not only the concluding work but also the highlight of Haydnâ??s symphonic output overall. It firmly established the high standards of the genre for future generations of composers and probably Haydnâ??s most performed symphony to this day. This study edition adopts the musical text of the Haydn CompleteEdition thereby guaranteeing the highest scholarly quality. According to his dating of the autograph Haydn composed the Symphony no. 89 in F major in 1787 just one year after the six so-called Paris symphonies. It was written together with its sister work the G-major Symphony no. 88 for the violinist Johann Tost who sold it to the Parisian publisher Sieber. In both works Haydn continues the compositional achievements of the Paris symphonies: mastery of orchestration richness of musical ideas and details and an idiosyncratic multicoloured use of the wind section (which still makes do without Clarinets). In contrast to the buoyant G-major symphony the F-major symphony possesses a ratherpastoral sweet character which in parts can nevertheless soar to dramatic heights. This study edition reproduces the musical text of the Haydn Complete Edition which is a guarantor of the finest scholarship. An informative preface and a brief critical report make this handy score an ideal companion for all Haydn fans both present and future.

LOurs-This is the first symphony in the Paris cycle and it was composed in 1786. The nickname The Bear stems from the bagpipe-like theme of the final movement. The composition?s outer movements often described as examples of 'brilliance' and 'splendour' surround the alternating major and minor variations of the slow movement. The simplicity of this movement rings true to Rousseau?s characterisation of 'natural' music.- Large format parts.- Informative Preface (German/English).- Urtext of the Haydn Complete Edition.- Complements the already available Paris symphonies nos. 85 and 87.

(+)

Haydn?s ?Farewell Symphony? is one of the most frequently played works of the symphonic repertoire. The popular title did not derive from the composer but refers to the final movement at the end of which (Adagio) the musicians stop playing one after the other leaving only two violins to end the work. According to an anecdote the musicians? exit was a means of making reference to the demands of orchestral work at Esterháza at the end of the season. The publication of Haydn?s ?Sturm und Drang? Symphonies the Farewell Symphony and Symphony No. 48 (the so-called ?Maria Theresia? Symphony) represents a continuation of the cooperation between Bärenreiter and theHenle publishing company for editions of larger choral works operas and symphonic works. (+)
Opera In Three Acts-Premiered in London in 1733 Handel’s “magic opera” Orlando is based on a libretto by Carlo Sigismondo Capeci that derives indirectly from Ludovico Ariosto’s epic poem Orlando furioso. This subject was very popular at the time and was frequently set to music e.g. by Jean-Baptiste Lully Agostino Steffani and Joseph Haydn. The title role of Orlando is the last one that Handel wrote for the celebrated castrato Senesino. Several stunning stage effects intended to illustrate Zoroastro’s sorcery call for sophisticated baroque stage machinery. The vocal score has been adapted andcarefully amended in keeping with the revision of the complete edition volume. The engraving and presentation of the former vocal score (BA 4027-90) have also been meticulously revised in many details. However the pagination stays the same so that both vocal scores are compatible with each other. A new Foreword in two languages (Eng/Ger) is also included in the edition.- Urtext edition based on the Halle Handel Edition- Full score (BA4087-01) & vocal score (BA4087-90) available for sale and performance material (BA4027-72) available for hire
