for soprano soloist mixed choir and orchestra or ensemble (with organ) This is...(+)
for soprano soloist mixed choir and orchestra or ensemble (with organ) This is one of the best-loved and most widely performed choral works of the twentieth century. The texts (in Latin and English) are from the Missa pro Defunctis the Book of Common Prayer and the Psalms. The seven sections form an arch-like meditation on the themes of life and death: prayers on behalf of all humanity psalms personal prayers to Christ and in the central Sanctus an affirmation of divine glory. The full scores have been edited and engraved by the composer himself and are presented in handsome cloth-bound editions. Vocal and orchestral material is available on hire.

Und es waren Hirten in derselbigen Gegend - BWV 248.2. Par BACH JOHANN SEBASTIAN. The Christmas Oratorio with just organ instead of orchestral accompaniment? Can this work with such a festive and colorfully orchestrated piece? This arrangement shows that it can, and surprisingly well!Carsten Klomp has carefully transcribed the orchestral writing for organ. Staying close to the original score goes hand-in-hand with a transcription brilliantly suited to the organ, with full use of the tonal and performing possibilities of the instrument. The first three parts of the Christmas Oratorio are now available from Carus in this form. So for the first time, a complete performance of Parts I?III of the work can now be given in an arrangement for soloists, choir and organ. Each of the organ parts is available to match the scores. These allow for optimal page-turns, as the choral parts are not printed and the da capo sections are always written out in full. The editions are available individually or as a set (including the three scores with the individual organ parts). The vocal parts (for soloists and choir) are identical to the original version, so that the vocal score and choral score of that version can be used. This work (original version) is also available in carus music, the choir app! / Date parution : 2022-10-12/ Répertoire / Solistes, SATB et Orgue

Handel?s four anthems were all composed during his London period in the Chapel Royal. ?As pants the hart? his fifth setting of this Psalm text was written in March 1738 for performance at a benefit concert for the King?s Theatre in the Haymarket. Until just before Handel?s first visit to England the only instrument permitted to accompany the service in the Chapel Royal was the Organ. These four works (O sing unto the Lord HWV 249a I will magnify thee HWV 250b As pants the hart HWV 251e Let God arise HWV 256b) with their orchestral accompaniments thus represent something akin to a new genre in English church music. The four anthems arepresented in clearly laid out Vocal scores with easy-to-play Piano reductions based on the Urtext from the ?Halle Handel Edition?. Their winningly varied and self-sufficient orchestral writing provides a suitable framework for the festive chorus and the equally festive solo numbers. Today they sound as splendid as ever before. The full scores and Vocal scores also contain a German translation along with the original English.Scoring:- HWV 249a: soloists (AB) chorus (SATB) Flute 2 Oboes 2 Trumpets Strings Continuo.- HWV 250b: soloists (SATB) chorus (SATB) Oboe Strings Continuo.- HWV 251e: soloists (SAATBB) chorus (SAATBB) 2 Oboes Strings Continuo.- HWV 256b: soloists (AB) chorus (SATB) Oboe Strings Continuo.- Urtext from the ?Halle Handel Edition? at the forefront of musical scholarship.- First separate editions for performance purposes.- Clear and easy-to-play Piano reductions.- Original English text with underlaid German translation.- Full scores vocal scores and performance material available for sale.

Great Credo Mass-The Missa K.257 bears the non-authentic dating 1776 and was presumably composed at the end of 1776 or in the first half of 1777. Like K.262 (246a) it is designated in Leopold Mozart?s handwriting as a Missa longa on the cover page of an early composite manuscript containing the five masses in C major. K.257 is listed there as the last work. The designation ?Missa longa? was intended to point out that this was an extensive full-scale mass. Normally it would have been called a Missa solemnis but Mozart for unknown reasons did not make use of this customary nomenclature. The name ?Credo Mass? is taken from the acclamations of ?Credo? that constantly interrupt thelike-named movement. The Mass is remarkable for its density of invention within the narrowest of confines. Further its instrumental accompaniment has an almost chamber-music quality that emerges time and again into almost symphonic proportions. Urtext of the ?New Mozart Edition? Straightforward piano reduction in the vocal score Ideal for church services and concert performances Full score & performance material (BA4859) and vocal score (BA4859-90) for saleArrangement for soloists choir & organ (BA7520) for sale

Like K.262 (246a) it is designated in Leopold Mozart?s handwriting as a Missa longa on the cover page of an early composite manuscript containing the five masses in C major. The 20 year old Berlioz wrote his Messe solennelle in 1824 his first large scale work for chorus and orchestra. His later Memoirs suggest he burnt the manuscript due to his doubts about its quality. However the manuscript had made its way to Antwerp and the Church of St Carolus-Borromeus where it was catalogued by church officials probably in 1956. But it was not until 1991 when Franz Moors a retired teacher organist and choir master discovered it in a wooden chest on the organ platform and gradually began to realise its status as a work of some significance. The work was published by Bärenreiter in the 'New Berlioz Edition' and modern premieres were givenduring 1993 and 1994. Waisenhaus Mass-Mozart had barely turned twelve when he composed and conducted his Missa solemnis in C minor K.139 to inaugurate a new orphanage on Vienna?s Rennweg in 1768.This astonishing early work adheres to the form of a Neapolitan cantata mass in which the separate movements (?Gloria? ?Credo? etc.) are themselves made up of self-contained choruses ariosos and ensembles. This frequently heard Mass is characterized by a sharp contrast between its cheerful underlying C major mood and gloomy dramatic passages in the minor mode.Urtext of the New Mozart EditionStraightforward piano part in the vocal scoreIdeal for church services andconcert performances Full score & performance material (BA4858) and vocal score (BA4858-90) available for saleArrangement for soloists choir & organ (BA7521) for sale

These four works with their orchestral accompaniments thus represent something akin to a new genre in English church music. The four anthems are presented in clearly laid out vocal scores with straightforward Piano reductions based on the Urtext from the Halle Handel Edition. Their enticingly varied and self-sufficient orchestral writing provides a suitable framework for the festive chorus and equally festive solo numbers. Today they sound as splendid as ever! The full scores and vocal scores also contain a German translation along with the original English text.
