Parisian violinist Georges Catherine (1872-1958) compiles an exciting collection for the violin repertoire. The first solo from Beriot's Concerto No. 9 is clearly printed with a helpful key of unusual techniques. Charles Auguste de Beriot (1802-1870) was a Belgian violinist and composer. He composed a significant 10 concertos for the violin which remain popular in the advanced violinist's repertoire, as well as many study books for the instrument. The violin solo line of Concerto No. 9 makes use of extended techniques, including harmonics, bow techniques, articulations and hand positions. Catherine's series, First Solos Extracted from the Classic Concertos provides essential access to significant repertoire of the violin, preparing advanced violinists for the major concertos.

Varied Studies in all keys by Marcel Mule (1901-2001) is a set of thirty studies for Saxophone. Initially composed by Jakob Dont, Rodolphe Kreutzer, Jacques Mazas, Niccolo Paganini, Pierre Rode among others, these Varied Studies in all keys for all Saxophones would fit the skills of advanced-intermediate players. Marcel Mule (1901-2001) is one of the greatest French Saxophonists, renowned worldwide for his work on the classical Saxophone repertoire. He was teaching his students how to obtain a good quality of sound and believed it was dependent on the embouchure, the emission, the mastery of vibrato and, therefore, of breathing. He wrote different methods that focus on technique, articulation and tone productions such as '18 Exercises or Studies', 'Daily Exercises after Terschack' or '30 Great Exercises or Studies after Soussmann' (in two books), among others..

In this four-movement suite, every moment sings of a different type of French wine. All these wines have their origins in the little French village of Savigny-les-Beaune in Burgundy and are made by wine-grower Pierre Guillemot. It was theexcellent quality of the wines that inspired Rob Goorhuis into writing this composition. The first three movements deal with three red wines made of the Pinot Noir grape which all bear the Premier Cru designation. The final movement wasinspired by a white wine made of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay. In the nature of their musical material, the various movements not only give a characterisation of the taste of the wines. they also hint at impressions of the respective vineyards andtheir surroundings. 1st Movement Les Narbantons - Giocoso 2nd Movement Les Jarrons - Gracioso 3rd Movement Les Serpentieres - Festivo 4rd Movement Dessus des Golardes - Vivace.
