Johannis Cantabrigiense-Nico Muhly's Third Service (Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis) is a work for SATB Choir and Organ Accompaniment. Commissioned by the Master and Fellows of St John's College Cambridge it was first performed by St John's College Choir on 29th May 2016. A full performance lasts around 7.5 minutes. 'The American composer Nico Muhly has often spoken of his love of the early English church music which he sang as a choirboy and his recent choral works include a Third Service composed for St John's College Cambridge. (Given his love of music by Thomas Weelkes we can perhaps hope for at least six more.) This setting though has nothing to do with the early English repertoire and is in a bold modern idiom more akin to Tippett's famous setting for St. John's. The Organ plays a varied and independent role throughout sometimes with dynamics that are quite different to those in the voice parts. The Organ part is sometimes written on two staves without further comment and it's not entirely clear what is required between pages 3 and 4 where three staves become two. The vocal parts include some modest vocal effects and there are Soprano and Alto solos in the Nunc dmittis. The Gloria of the Nunc is a varied repeat of the Magnificat Gloria together with a subtly reworked conclusion to match the general mood of the movement. - Geoffrey Webber Choir & Organ Magazine 

POD-James Whitbourn's Agnus Dei From Missa Carolae. Missa Carolae was commissioned by Rochester Cathedral the second oldest cathedral in England to mark the 1400th anniversary ofits foundation. It was first performed there on 24 December 2004 by the Rochester Cathedral Choirs Andy Findon (Fife) the Locke Brass Consort Edmund Aldhouse (Organ) Joby Burgess and Catherine Ring (Percussion) directed byRoger Sayer. The work is intended to invoke a dance-like spirit which is true to the origin of the carol as a simple dance form. The choir parts should be very well-known so that the singers can sing with the whole oftheir bodies and not just their voices. This version is a reduced scoring for SATB (unchanged) with Organ and optional Piccolo and also acts as the vocal score to the full version. In this scoring the Piccolo adds to theeffectiveness of the piece. In either scoring the Piccolo may be replaced with a Flute Fife or even a more rustic Pipe as was used at the first performance. The original scoring for SATB with Piccolo Brass (3 Trumpetsand 3 Trombones) Percussion (2 players) and Organ accompaniment is the preferred version. Full score and parts are available on hire from the publisher or full score on sale (CH71621). The Piccolo part (CH79893-01) is common toboth scorings and is available on sale or hire with the full version. The Organ accompaniment in this score is for performance of the version for SATB Piccolo and Organ only. An A4 spiral-bound version of this score may bepreferable for the organist (CH79893-02). The separate Organ part - available on hire - must be used for the version with instruments.An ad lib. part for the congregation (CH70961 pack of 50) is incorporated into the fullscoring of Missa Carolae. Reference to the entries of the congregation is made in the vocal score for occasions when it is used in conjunction with the full instrumentation.

James Weeks' A Tear was commissioned by The Organ Project Union Chapel and first performed by Eclectic Voices (Scott Stroman director) at Union Chapel London on 18th April 2014.This arrangement is for mixed-voice Choir with Organ accompaniment.

John Prindle Scott's Come Ye Blessed arranged by Carl Deis for SATB choir with Organ accompaniment.John Prindle Scott was an American singer Vocal tutor and composer. Born in New York in 1877 he studied at Oberlin College Ohio between 1896-1900. He moved back to New York city before 1908 and later became a voice teacher in Saginaw Michigan.According to an article in the Syracuse American 'He had established a considerable reputation in concert work when he was forced by increasing deafness to turn to composition for musical expression.'Prindle Scott composed about 60 published songsbetween 1910 and 1930 including several prominent sacred works which have remained in the repertoire. Come Ye Blessed takes its text from the Gospel of Matthew. It was first published by G. Schirmer in 1917. Alan J. Ord author of Singer's Repertoire described the piece as being a good choice for bass voices calling it 'ardent with a flowing line'.

The Te Deum H 148 is the last of the six settings of this text by Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643–1704) whose death is now being commemorated three centuries later.Unlike the better known and relatively lavish Te Deum of the “Eurovision Fanfare” (H 146) this version reduces the ensemble to four-voice chorus and basso continuo.
