Das Werk beginnt mit vollen, majestatischen Klangen der obligaten Orgel, bevor der imposante vierstimmige Mannerchor in den herrlichen Lobpreis Gottes einstimmt. Der Einsatz von Kinderstimmen ist zwar freigestellt, verleiht dem Werk aber durch mehrere kurze, einfache Halleluja-Einwurfe einen besonderen, zu Herzen gehenden Effekt.
