Respighi completed the 4-movement set of Biblical episodes titled Church Windows in 1925. He actually composed the music first and then added the titles, dispelling any theory of specific religious fervor on his part, but rather creating a general mood with the music.St. Michael the Archangel, the “battle-scene†2nd movement is about 6 minutes in length.
