Commande pour un ch?ur d'enfant à l'origine, ces mélodies se sont très vite intégrées au répertoire des duos soprano-alto, ou des ch?urs de femmes. Écrites sur des poèmes de Théophile Gauthier et de Rainer Maria Rilke, ces pièces nous invitent à une promenade toute en douceur et en sensibilité, où les instruments dialoguent véritablement avec les voix. Emmanuel Clerc confirme encore ici ses talents de compositeur : beaucoup de délicatesse, et une couleur harmonique bien particulière, au service d'une musique toute en nuances. Based on the Bärenreiter vocal scores the three volumes in this series contain some of Handel's best-known arias for mezzo-soprano/contralto tenor and bass together with some less well-known numbers of equally high musical quality.
