The Christmas carol See Amid The Winter's Snow has here been arranged for SATB choir with Organ accompaniment by Richard Lloyd. Originally published in Noel!.

Jubilate Deo was commissioned by William and Elizabeth Bayne for the Friends of Cathedral Music Cathedral of St John Albuquerque New Mexico as part of the Cathedral Commissions series. First performed by the Cathedral Choir under the direction of Iain Quinn with Maxine Thevenot organist. ' Tarik O’Regan’s setting in Latin was composed for the Cathedral of St John Albuquerque New Mexico. After a hushed unaccompanied opening that builds to a climax much of the choral writing is unison or homophonic supported by energetic syncopated organ accompaniment. This setting is the most contemporary sounding ofthose reviewed here but still very singable'RSCM (Sunday by Sunday - June 2011)

Another Look at Harmony Part 4 was written while Glass was working on Einstein on the Beach and it is easy to hear similarities between the two works. In Harmony the Voices use solfege and nonsense syllables where in Einsteinrecognizable words are sometimes set non-narratively. There are similar harmonic progressions that the two pieces share though it is less predictable in Harmony. In both works Glass takes all the time he needs to explore histheme. Another Look at Harmony requires approximately one hour to perform with intensity building through the many repetitions over time.American composer Philip Glass is widely known as one of the most celebrated influentialand prolific of the modern composers. He is frequently referred to as a minimalist though he prefers to call himself a composer of ‘music with repetitive structures.’ His operas among them the renowned Einstein On The Beach are performed across the globe and he has created work for small and large ensembles film and experimental theatre and founded his own performing group The Philip Glass Ensemble.

Dale Warland Choral Series-California composer Dale Trumbore is quickly becoming one of America's leading young composers. Commissioned by Brandon Elliott and the Choral Arts Initiative the music begins softly with soft and energeticexcitement and ends serenely following the powerful statement 'I am the instrument of God' as the choir whispers 'I am music'.

For SATB and Soprano solo. Fresh and unsentimental this setting is as beautiful as the familiar anthem by Stainer of this much-loved text and a worthy alternative.

Medley-Here is a tapestry of carols that you will perform again and again! Opening brightly with a mixed meter choral fanfare it then moves into a smooth and unhurried verse and chorus of “Angels We Have Heard on High ”followed by “Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming” and culminating with a joyful “Hark!
