The 'organ plus? one series was conceived primarily with semi-professional church musicians and instrumentalists in mind.Based on the liturgical year, the pieces can be readily performed in church services, evening recitals or small concerts.Included are pieces which are freely-composed or based on chorales, both original works and arrangements.Each edition includes solo parts for instruments in C, B-flat, E-flat and F which can be played by violin, flute, oboe, clarinet, trumpet and horn in F. Im Schülerkreis um J. S. Bach nimmt Johann Ludwig Krebs eine Schlüsselposition ein. Als einer der begabtesten Eleven Bachs galt Krebs bereits zu Lebzeiten als außergewöhnlicher Komponist und Organist mit virtuosen Fähigkeiten. Beim Studium seines umfangreichen Orgelschaffens spürt man seine großen organistischen Fähigkeiten, die sich in einer virtuosen Finger- und Pedaltechnik äußern. Auf kompositorischem Gebiet begegnet uns Krebs als ein die kontrapunktischen Regeln perfekt beherrschender Künstler. Neben der perfekten Nachahmung seines Lehrmeisters Bach hatte sich Krebs auch den neuen galanten und empfindsamen Tendenzen seiner Zeit zugewandt. Er zeigte sich damit sehr aufgeschlossen gegenüber den zu seiner Zeit aufkommenden neuen musikalischen Strömungen, die in seinen Kompositionen eine besondere Rolle spielen. / Orgue

Volume 1 K.1-52-Italian composer Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757) is well-known for his Keyboard compositions. His 555 Keyboard Sonatas remain ever popular to this day and it is for this reason that this first volume is indispensable to performers of the genre. Originally composed for the Harpsichord Organ or early Pianoforte the Sonatas display the riveting use of discords and unconventional modulations to remote keys. It is also thought that much of Scarlatti's Keyboard music contains influences of Iberian music considering that he spent much of his working life in the service of the Spanish and Portuguese royal families.This first volume comprising Sonatas 1-52 includes the popular and recognised Sonatas in D minor (K. 9) E major (K. 20) and B minor (K. 27). Bearing in mind that Domenico Scarlatti was a highly competent and popular Keyboard player in his day so much so that he was employed in the service of two royal families his Sonatas are composed with much experience understanding and expertise creating an essential addition to the repertoire of all Keyboard players of the Baroque genre.

Sur une de ces occasions en Juin de 1791, Mozart lui a rendu visite et alors qu'il compose un hymne courte sacramentelle pour son ami Anton Stoll, organiste et maître de chapelle de l'église paroissiale de Baden. L'exquise Ave verum corpus (K.618) a été le premier morceau de musique sacrée qu'il avait écrit en plus de huit ans (et la dernière avant son Requiem inachevé), et s'est avéré être une de ses compositions les plus aimés. Le compositeur et organiste Paul Siefert, baptisé à Gdansk le 28 juin 1586 et y mourut le 6 mai 1666, appartient à le 'école d'orgue allemande du Nord'. Grâce à une subvention du Conseil de la ville de Gdansk, Siefert a passé les années de 1607 à étudier probablement fin de 1610 à Amsterdam où il obtient les idées importantes et suggestions comme élève de Sweelinck. Après son retour, il devient adjoint organiste à Gdansk. De 1611 à 1616 il travaille comme organiste d'abord à l'église de la vieille ville de Königsberg, puis à l'orchestre de Cour de Varsovie. Le 23 septembre 1623, il est nommé organiste à la Marienkirche de Gdansk, dans la succession de Michael Weyda, où il a travaillé jusqu'à la fin de sa vie. Cette édition de ses oeuvres pour orgue contient 13 fantaisies, deux préludes chorals et un motet ainsi une description détaillée des travaux dans la préface, ainsi que dans le rapport critique. / Orgue

Against the venture of making accessible to the organ piano compositions by Bartók one can, I admit, put forward not only the reasons which oppose any kind of transcript on whatsoever, but also those which have their origin in the imcompatibility of profane organ writing with the world of the organ. One must, however, not forget that all such transcriptions, no matter which way they go have suffered from the sam dilemma - and yet, they have fulfilled their purpose by helping to chose gaps in the repertory.
