Have you ever lost something you loved' A toy, a book, a favorite memento' Leave it to Mary Poppins to tell you about the metaphorical space where the things you've lost and loved are waiting anxiously for your return. Not a dry eye will be left in your audience when it is revealed, at the end of the song, the thing for which the Banks children have been pining with all their hearts.

This whimsical set of pieces features three children's rhymes as text to create a colorful showcase for treble choir. “Hush the Waves” tells of a mother and child awaiting the return of a father out on the whalingships. “Flying Man” is an early twentieth century rhyme which appeared around the same time as the first Wright Brothers' flights. “To Brush the Cobwebs Off the Sky” depicts the mystery of the skies andour longing to take flight. Whether performed separately or as a set your singers will grow in musicianship.
