Sarah Quartel's Snow Angel for SATB solo Cello Djembe and Piano. Already a firm favourite with choirs across the world Snow Angel is an evocative five-movement choral work that explores themes of love rebirth and beauty through the eyes of children and the heavenly army of angels that watch over them yearning to make a difference to their lives. The work may be performed with narration in which three angels present their perspectives on their earthly charges. Sarah Quartel weaves a haunting and poignant Cello line throughout the work and a vibrant part for Djembe in movement four 'Sweet child' carriesthe listener from the ethereal and mystical realm the work predominantly inhabits into an emphatic anthem with a distinctly African feel. The musical language is emotive and pictorial allowing performers to play an active role in the storytelling.Snow Angel is also available in a version for SSAA.

POD-This work by Patrick Hawes was inspired by the legend of The Angel of Mons. This is the vocal score for SSA choir with Piano accompaniment. The legend claims that an angel appeared before members of the British Army at the Battle of Mons in World War 1 supposedly protecting them from the enemy. This work is dedicated to the memory of all the British soldiers who witnessed the apparition of the angel. The Angel Of Mons was premiered in its SATB choir version on 23 August 2014 in St Michael & All Angels Church Edenham Lincolnshire and conducted by the composer Patrick Hawes on the exactcentenary of the apparition of the angel. 'Scored for soprano solo SSA choir harp and strings this reworking by the composer of the original SATB version musically accessible and also offering teaching opportunities about WWI is particualrly suitable for good school choirs. Par SHARP TIM. This work grew out of the co-creator's love for the tunes and texts coming out of the Appalachian Mountains and the shape-note and early Moravian singing tradition. In the words of Tim Sharp, We took the image of bands of angels singing and playing at the Nativity as reported in the second chapter of Luke's gospel, transported that image to Appalachia, and Angel Band is the result. Angelus ad Virginem describes the Annunciation the biblical event in which the Angel Gabriel communicated with Mary about the forthcoming birth of Jesus. The tranquil music is intended to depict the angelic voice of Gabriel and the voice of Mary through its chant-like nature and exotic shifting harmonies. Douglas Mason began his musical training as a chorister in Gloucester Cathedral Choir under John Sanders. He subsequently read music at Durham University and went on to train as a music teacher at Leeds University also singing professionally as a lay clerk in the Choir of Leeds Parish Church at this time.As a composer Douglas focuses on choral works in particular and he has also written and arranged music for schools. As a performer Douglas has sung on numerous television and radio broadcasts and appeared on recordings for several labels including Abbey Priory and ASC records. For several years he was also a member of the William Byrd Singers directed by Stephen Wilkinson.

Will Todd, born in 1970, is forging a strong reputation for himself as a composer who is equally at ease in opera, oratorio, church music and jazz. His style is instantly accessible and lastingly memorable. He spent his formative years steeped in both jazz and the English choral tradition so in his choral music he is able to juxtapose strong rhythmic drive and rich harmonies with exquisitely lyrical vocal lines.The composer writes of this piece: 'Angel Song II is inspired by the idea of angels singing on Christmas night. The music weaves a gentle melody over the aleatoric textures of the accompanying voices. The text is designed to create the echo of the word 'Hosanna', but with no consonants, so that the music feels as if it comes from 'on high'.' / Choeur SATB A Cappella

Yes I Am Your Angel by Gabriel Jackson for SATB unaccompanied.The text for this imaginative and effective piece by Gabriel Jackson is a response to Allen Ginsberg's A Supermarket in California by Latvian poet K rlis V rdi š translated here by Ieva Lešinska. As in Ginsberg's poem the initial setting is a supermarket depicted with vivid imagery such as 'a weary shrivelled apple' before the angel protagonist expounds on their observations about contemporary society. Pleasingly alliterative lines such as 'he'd babble boozily about tanks' are artfully given rhythmic emphasis by Jackson who fullyexploits the dramatic intent of the poem giving space for the text to come through by homophonic setting a pure harmonic language and often sparse textures.
