The 'Traditional' manner in which most people acquire the skill to play piano is to choose a teacher commit to lessons and spend many hours practicing. Although there is no substitute for the time it takes to master this instrument we can provide an alternative to the regimented lesson format. Ensenese A Tocar El Piano the Spanish Edition of Teach Yourself Piano by Bob Hartz was created for support as you learn the basics of piano on your own schedule and the authentic translation acquaints you with playing at a pace only governed by you. Bob Hartz begins by presenting the basics and explaining the fundamentals in a logical manner. Additional information is providedin a methodic fashion in an attempt to build on the knowledge previously gained. Teaching yourself is challenging but ultimately quite rewarding as you acquire the ability to read music play chords and apply these skills to piano. Should you desire further study upon completion of this 'self-taught' methodic approach then choosing a good teacher would be the next step. To truly master the piano it takes many years of dedicated practice and study but some would like to dabble enough to simply have fun. If this endeavor is meant for recreation or you're just in need of a refresher course then Ensenese A Tocar El Piano is the perfect instructional guide for you. Jazz Chords On Piano by Tormod Vinsand (2017). A methodical introduction to the understanding and usage of jazz chords on piano. Over the years many non-pianists ( i.e. musicianswho do not use the piano as their main instrument) have tried to transfer the principles of traditional triads and tetrachords to jazz chords - with varying degrees of success. With the book 'Jazz Chords on Piano' Tormod Vinsand gives you some guidelines that may help demystify the process of making a piano arrangement with melody and jazz chords. The reader will get tools making it possible to create a pianoarrangement which will adequately include the melodics harmonics and rhythm of a composition. The book is not meant to be a school in jazz piano - but more an introduction into the work with jazz harmonics and melody playing of a piano arrangement. Boogie-Woogie And The Blues is dedicated to all the great Blues and Boogie-Woogie pianists who Andrew has had the privilege of listening to over the last 40 years. His first recollection of being inspired to learn Blues piano was in 1968 when he heard the Blues piano solo by Nicky Hopkins on the song ???Blues Deluxe??? from Jeff Beck???s first album ???Truth??? Just as that piano solo inspired him in turn he hopes these songs inspire you in the same way. The song ???Boogie with Nicky??? is dedicated to Nicky Hopkins. He hopes that you have the same enjoyment learning and playing these songs as he did creating them. There are nine songs in this book which Andrew composedranging from the slow Blues of H.R. Blues to the up-tempo Boogie-Woogie of Holly and Ben???s Boogie as well as the Ragtime feel of Raggedy Blues. Beside learning from this book it is important to listen to the masters of Blues and Boogie-Woogie piano styles a discography on page 2 will get you started.'You have so imaginatively integrated traditional blues sounds in a new and innovative way. I myself have been in what I call a 'riff rut'. Studying this book is going to open my mind immensely. I am really excited about practicing these tunes.' - User feedback

Fugue No.1 from 36 Fugues for Piano (BA9541) The Czech composer Antonin Rejcha (also Anton Reicha 1770–1836) was famous as both an experimental composer and as a teacher and theorist. His “36 Fugues for Piano” testify to this experimentalism; they can be seen as a type of “Well-Tempered Piano of the new ages” basing the traditional Baroque fugue on radical new fundaments. The first edition of this unusual collection was produced in 1803 in Vienna by Reicha’s own publishing company “Au Magasin de l’Imprimerie chimique”. It included both a dedication poem to JosephHaydn and a comprehensive foreword in which Reicha identifies the characteristics of his compositional style. The second edition (Vienna 1805) included a short theoretical text “Über das neue Fugensystem” (“On the new fugal system”) in the form of a polemic reacting to his critics one of whom was Beethoven. Six fugues are based on the themes of other composers (Haydn Bach Mozart Scarlatti Frescobaldi Handel). The musical text (BA9541) is a corrected reprint of the edition by Václav Jan Sýkora from 1973 which itself was based on the referred to edition from 1805 as well as on the later edition by Tobias Haslinger (Vienna c. 1828). Works historically important to the development of the fugue. New foreword by Roman Dykast (Cz/Eng/Ger)

Beethovenâ?? supreme skill and dramatic creativity are demonstrated again in Sonata In E Flat Major For Piano Op.27 No.1 completed in 1802. In part instigated by the onset of his deafness and rejection Beethoven moved away from the traditional movement structure of the Sonata and titled each one Sonata Quasi una Fantasia (Sonata in the form of a fantasia). It is a more continuous whole the changes of tempo and mood occurring within movements and it has a more fluid approach to key thematic development and form. Written for Solo Piano Op.27 No.1 is deceptively difficult at first seeming playful and childish but becoming more formidable as itprogresses.

Easy variations for piano-Imre Mez (born 1932) composed several popular works for children and young people studying music. His most recent collection is extraordinary in that all the 153 tiny pieces are based on the same Hungarian folk song offering a myriad of ways and options of presenting and elaborating the same melody without altering it.The variations are grouped by key and within each chapter are placed in order of difficulty. In so doing the composer offers as piano teacher Erika Becht writes ''two ways for teachers and pupils to know and try out the many musical and technical variations (such as augmenting diminishing canon melody pairs etc.). This can be done within the same key inorder of difficulty or by using the scope of the music to find the right degree of difficulty and advancing through the key signatures so developing pupils' ability and sense of security in reading a score by playing in various keys.'' This publication is not only recommended to beginners or more advanced pupils undergoing traditional musical tuition but also to those interested in the secrets of composition and musical structures. This publication is printed on high-quality age-resistant paper that is produced in an environmentally-friendly climate-neutral manner using renewable raw materials.
