Composer John Wykoff has set the familiar spiritual Soon I Will Be Done in a completely new way. While other settings exist, none treat the source material with deadly seriousness, as a personal requiem. With an incredibly beautiful and virtuosic piano accompaniment, this work will make an excellent concert centerpiece.

Arranged for SATB choir, two keyboards, strings, and optional harp, with soprano, tenor (optional) and baritone soloists, this fresh and unorthodox interpretation reflects on the words of the Latin Mass by juxtaposing them with poems in English. Set entirely for a soloist (soprano, tenor, or baritone) above choir accompaniment, this movement has no Latin text; the English text is a poem by Ann Thorp (“I have to believe That you still exist Somewhereâ€). This movement stands entirely on its own as a beautiful anthem of comfort and assurance. Duration 3:07.

Ngizocula is a dynamic song for more advanced SATB choirs about joy, and the fact that joyfulness can exist even in the midst of trial and tribulation.

This original anthem from Pepper Choplin asked the question Why, Lord? and addresses the reality of our sinful and broken world. The refrain provides assurance that though struggles and hardships exist in this life, God will not leave us nor forsake us and that all is restored and made perfect in heaven.

Michael Haydn composed three of his masses in honor of the holy archangels - St Michael, St Gabriel, and the Raphaelismesse in honor of St Raphael now published. By avoiding the use of vocal soloists, it is one of the genre of Missa in pieno. Four trumpets and two ad lib oboe parts added later by the composer give the work a festive sound in the baroque tradition. At the same time, elements of the 'sensitive style' feature too. The Gloria and Credo exist in two settings, a short version with polytextual passages and a longer version arranged by Haydn himself. The Carus edition, based on authentic performance material in St. Peter's Monastery in Salzburg, contains both versions, with the longer version published here for the first time. Score and part available separately - see item CA.5408700.

The Reformation cantata Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott BWV 80b, published by Carus-Verlag for the first time in a practical performing edition, remained unknown to Bach scholars until well into the 20th century. The evidence of its existence is three fragments of the first folio of Bach's score, which can be dated to the years 1728-1731. By contrast, the long-familiar expanded new version of the cantata with its powerful opening chorus (BWV 80) dates from the 1730s or 1740s. It only survives in a copy of Bach's score, but this allows conclusions to be drawn about the history of the versions; thus, by using the fragments mentioned above, it has been possible to reconstruct the first version. This result is a Bach cantata which is less extensive and in a more concise normal format, with reduced wind instruments. A relaxed, contrapuntal four-part chorale movement with the first and last verses of the Lutheran hymn forms the framework, and the other movements are the same as in the later new version. This simpler cantata is also entirely suitable for celebrating Reformation Day, as Bach did around 1730. Score and part available separately - see item CA.3108000.

A New World is a musical story across five movements with texts by authors from Cicero and Ovid to George William Russel; from nursery rhymes to war poets.
The music and texts link to form a narrative that questions what sort of ‘New Worlds’ have come into existence, or could be created in our future, and considers how we balance human traits of fear, displacement, isolation and conflict with equally human traits of love, hope, forgiveness and unity.
5. Love
A beautiful and flowing work for SATB choir, SATB solo quartet and piano, with textures that celebrate love, cherishing our place among the stars.
