The genre 'pastorale héroïque? is a legacy of the grand siècle of Louis XIV and in the 18th century it only rarely reached the stage. But in the second period of his career it became Rameau's preferred genre: the more unconventional world of shepherds and nymphs gave him greater freedom in terms of dramatic action, stage décor and musical virtuosity compared to the tragédie lyrique. This is demonstrated to masterly effect in 'Acanthe et Céphise? Haydn Symphony No.69 in C major (Laudon) (Hob.I:69) (Full Score) Letters of the composer have come down to us only on a few of Haydn’s symphonies, amongst them the “Laudon” Symphony Hob. I:69. In one of these letters, Haydn agrees to the publisher’s suggestion to name the symphony after the widely known and favoured general Gideon Ernst von Laudon (1717-1790). By using this name, both composer and publisher hoped to increase the commercial success of the work which possibly deserved a military eponym considering its instrumentation with timpani and trumpets. Also, the symphony requires two bassoons, but no flutes, corresponding with the available musicians at the court of Esterházy between 1775 and 1776. Henle publishing company regarding Haydns large-scale choral works, operas and symphonies, this edition is based on the G. Henle Complete Edition of the Works of Joseph Haydn. Elgar proposed an Orchestration of the work dividing the work into two parts with Richard Strauss in the 1920’s. In the end Elgar created the entire Orchestration himself and it was given its premiere in 1922 almost two centuries precisely since Bach wrote the original.

Certaines oeuvres telles que , Preciosa ' , Oberon ', et , Euryanthe ', les ouvertures , concertos en solo et sonates pour piano , des lieder et Chamber Works jouissait d'une grande popularité et ont été largement connu en Allemagne et à l'étranger aussi tard que la deuxième moitié de la 19e siècle . Cependant, toute chance d'une renaissance de Weber influents etoeuvre considérable a été gaspillé dans les années 1920 , quand une édition complète - commencé par Hans Joachim Moser et avec les contributeurs potentiels, dont Wilhelm Kempff , Hans Pfitzner , Max von Schillings, Fritz Stein et Richard Strauss - a échoué après le troisième volume.Depuis , il ya eu de nombreuses tentatives pour relancer une édition complète des oeuvres de Weber , mais comme ce genre de projet , il aurait fallu la collaboration de chercheurs des deux côtés de la frontière inter -allemande, la situation politique après 1945 n'était pas propice à une telle entreprise .
