Hilary Tann's Seven Poems Of Stillness for Cello with optional narration. This continuous cycle (c.16 minutes without narrator c.24 with narrator) intersperses seven poems by R.S. Thomas with seven movements for solo Cello exploring the poet's relationship to God. The music is evocative moving and thoughtfully sets the mood for the poem that it precedes.
