Celebration of Life is an evocative grade 3 composition that uses characteristic melodies to depict aspects of Jewish culture. A special feature of the work is the inclusion of sung passages which express both the painful suffering and joyful hope that have been part of the history of the Jewish people. Originally written for Sydney, Australia's Moriah College High School Concert Band and their Roberta Goot, composer Ralph Hultgren's newly-edited version is a significant addition to the intermediate concert band repertoire.

Each selection is correlated to a specific page in the Standard of Excellence Band Method, reinforcing and expanding skills and concepts introduced in the method up to that point.
