Matériel : Vocal Score
Joyful and sprightly this features a gracious text by Coleridge which is appropriate for Valentine's Day or spring concerts. The musical interplay of the piano vocal lines and marvelous clarinet part would require some work to master but are well worth it. An exquisite concert gem! (Clarinet part included) Duration: ca. 2:45

The texts of e. e. cummings are thoughtful and provoking. Following suit is this musical setting for a cappella voices and violin. The opening is charmingly hypnotic, preparing the listener's ear to hear the thoughts to come. Just the right amount of dissonance awakens the text and stimulates our senses. The conversation is further enhanced by the violin's expressive interjections. A truly artistic selection for advanced university and community choirs.

Every so often an arranger takes a familiar folk song and redresses it so incredibly that it feels like a brand new piece. Such is the case with this arrangement. It is both old and new all at once; an intimate friend you can fall in love with all over again. The harmonies are lush and delicate at the same time. Choirs will love singing this piece and it is an excellent choice for advanced high school, college, and community choirs.

Why do we love to sing? How does it affect us? The joyful answer is first stated youthfully, and becomes more mature as the song continues. The chorus unites everyone together in a rousing ending. Great for a spring concert, with the possibility of using multiple choirs of different ages (as it was first commissioned) or with various groups staged dramatically. Easy to medium in difficulty.

We believe the “Ubi Caritas†chant came from the 8th century, and it has been further enhanced by many of the best composers over the ages. This setting brings many fresh colors into view, but most notable is the narrative section, which requires singers to complete the sentence, “If only the world could...†and share it at a point in the music. It is a powerful and unique addition to this song of unity and love. For high school and college choirs.
