Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811772 Composed by Marin Marais (1656 - 1728). Arranged by Edited & arranged by Pat Spence. Baroque,Concert,Graduation,Wedding. 38 pages. Piper Publications #6132023. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811772). This is the third of a set of three Pièces en trio published in Paris in 1692 which have previously been attributed to Jean Baptiste Lully. The scoring indicated was ‘ Pour les Flutes, violin, & Dessus ve Viole Composées par M. Marais, Ordinaire, de la Musique de la Chambre du Roy.’ The dedication was to Mademoiselle Roland. The Suite has thirteen separate movements though the Double is a variation of the preceding Gavotte and the four Menuets would have been played without a break. In editing the Suite I have modernised the musical notation e.g. notes tied over bar/measure lines indicated by a dot are shown as tied notes of the correct value. All editings are shown in parentheses ( ) or dashed lines. No dynamic markings are indicated in the original edition and, as these are very much a matter of individual taste, I have left them to your discretion. The suite is for three equal players of intermediate standard and above. The movements are, Prelude, Sarabande, Fantaisie champetre, Gavotte en rondeau, Double, Gigue, Bransle Village, Rigaudon, 4 Menuets & Symphonie. The arrangement includes a clarinet, an instrument which was being developed from the chalumeau in the late seventeenth century by Johan Denner and his son in Nuremburg. Small Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811816 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 - 1767). Arranged by Pat Spence. Baroque,Concert,Graduation,Standards. Score and parts. 38 pages. Piper Publications #6509201. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811816). This six movement suite was composed between 1700 and 1750 - most likely near to the beginning of the 18th century when Telemann was using older style titles for the 6 movements - Overture, Chasse, Menuet, La Toye, Sarabande and Loure. Telemann did not indicate any dynamics, instead relying on contrasting pairs of players and the full ensemble. Advanced intermediate players will enjoy the well contrasted, mostly lively movements. Horn players may prefer to transpose some passages down an octave. Some trills have been added and dashed slurs to match the few indicated in the original set of parts. The Suite is very likely to have been performed at outside and inside events and the mode of performance adapted accordingly. PACHELBEL SUITE IN C MINOR FOR FLUTE, OBOE & CLARINET

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811767 Composed by Johann Pachelbel (1653 - 1706). Arranged by arranged by Pat Spence. Baroque,Concert,Graduation,Standards,Wedding. 18 pages. Piper Publications #6087211. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811767). Although this is an arrangement (the original was written for 2 violins & cello continuo), it has beenedited as an urtext edition so that players of modern instruments can perform it in an authentic style. All editings are clearly indicated in parentheses ( ) or dashed lines. Sections of all parts have beentransposed up an octave to accommodate the ranges of the wind instruments. Players would have added ornaments e.g. mordants and trills especially during the repeats. Some of the more obvious have been indicated in parentheses. The only dynamic indications are in the Gigue for the final 2 bars/measures of each section. The convention of playing the repeated sections in a contrasting dynamic (loud - soft or soft - loud) would have sufficed for the other movements. Slurs would have been added at the discretion of the players especially in the slow movements. The six movements, Sonata, Gavotte, Treza, Aria, Saraband & Gigue are suitable for players of advanced intermediate standard and above. The clarinet part could be played on a bass clarinet.Piper Publications PPS254Bwww.piperpublications.co.uk
