HarpSong, Jennifer Grady and Karen Almquist #692291. Published by HarpSong, Jennifer Grady and Karen Almquist (A0.1088053). Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924) was a wonderful composer and pedogogue. He originally composed his lovely Pavane, op.50 in F-Sharp Minor for the piano in 1887 before scoring it for orchestra and choir. It was performed with Chorus ad libitum in Paris on March 28, 1888. Pavane was one of Fauré’s most popular works. This light and airy arrangement for flute and harp captures a graceful dance between the two instruments. The harp part is of moderate difficulty except for difficult pedal changes in measures 84-85. Pedal changes and enharmonic notation are provided. The flute part is also of moderate difficulty with long and fluid, melodic lines. Parts for both instruments are included in the download. CAVATINA FOR FLUTE AND HARP

Giamanco Music A gentle folk-like composition for flute and harp, reminiscent of a ballad that a Renaissance troubadour might sing. This piece would work in either sacred or secular settings, and would make a very nice concert piece. Intermediate.
