Add this terrific new arrangement of Irving Berlin's hit EVERBODY'S DOING IT NOW arranged for small ensemble! According to his biographer Laurence Bergreen, Everybody's Doin' It Now was Irving Berlin's attempt to exploit the early 20th Century dance craze in America by writing a generic dance with a deceptively casual title. Berlin himself said, It was an idea out of the air. I wanted a dance song; everybody was doing it. I just sat down and wrote the thing as it was. The idea worked, and the song became the standard tune of the dance craze. Parts included in Set Music Sample Part 1 Violin Part 2 Viola Part 3 Cello Score (Parts 1-3 in C) Playable by Two Violins & Cello or Flute & Oboe & Bassoon or String Trio (Violin, Viola, Cello), Piano Trio & More. The Keyboard Part is a full harmonization of Parts 2 and 3. String Ensemble,String Trio Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.497961 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Pietro Prugna. Baroque,Classical,Instructional. Score and parts. 18 pages. Published by Pietro Prugna (A0.497961). JS Bach has written numerous amazing Fugues. This piece was originally written for Solo Violin. For beginners, it may be difficult to hear the different parts for the piece and technically difficult to play the piece. In this arrangement, the voices are split into 3 violins. This enables violinists to play this piece together and appreciate the various parts both separately and together in the Fugue. While doing the arrangement, reference was made with JS Bach's own transcription of this piece for Organ (BWV 539). With the expanded musical palette of the Organ transcription, much insight can be gained into Bach's ideas on this Fugue. Portions of the Organ version were incorporated to this arrangement, especially where there is only 1 melody line. In addition, the theme is also repeated over some single melody lines. The pdf contains Full Score of 3 Violins and Set of Parts (Violin I, Violin II and Violin III). The Parts are formatted for easy page turning and reading. This is a loop station composition for electric violin that I composed for my live-looping duo, The Khromatiks, in 2014. Doing my part to increase the available repertoire for extended range violins out here on the internet!I originally recorded this tune on a 7-string electric violin with a Boomerang III loop station. That being said, there are plenty of other gear configurations that will work. Any phrase looper/sampler that is capable of playing 3 separate tracks or sections with overdubs will be able to handle this structure, such as the Singular Sound Aeros, Ableton Live with a MIDI controller, etc. If you don't play 7-string, a 5-string can also play this chart as written if you use an octave pedal to record the low bass lines. A standard 4-string can also work, although some phrases will have to be transposed 8va.A little about this tune: a Haiku is characterized by a pattern of 5-7-5 syllables, and in this piece that refers to the meters used in each of the overarching sections. The ambient intro in 5/8 involves a quartal ostinato with long sweeping volume swells, which then develops into a pizzicato groove in 7/8. This groove forms the basis for the majority of the tune, as melodies & improvised solos drift in and out over an A and B section loop. On the final B section, the loop drops out and the violinist builds up into a more distorted strum bowing groove (which accompanies a drum solo on the original recording). As the intensity builds, the 7/8 groove is shortened back into 5/8, thus completing the Haiku. The piece ends with a restatement of the original ostinato as it fades into silence using an automated volume fade on the looper pedal. With The Khromatiks this piece was performed as a duo with violin & drums/percussion, but also works as a violin solo. If you have a looper capable of syncing to a click track, you could also try adding bass or guitar/keyboards (players can read the chord symbols on the chart as a lead-sheet). The sky is the limit, feel free to get creative with it!Please, if you have questions or suggestions, feel free to contact me via my website, www.kylepudenz.com/, or on Instagram @theviolinvagabond Fugue in G minor (BWV 1001) (3 Sonatas and 3 Partitas for Solo Violin) - String Trio arrangement

Saint-Saëns: The Swan (Le Cygne) movement 13 from the Carnival of the Animals Suite. One of his most popular and widely recognized works, it is the only movement from the Carnival Suite that Saint-Saëns permitted to be performed publicly during his lifetime. This is an excellent recital encore to demonstrate melodic playing and strategic phrasing. The Carnival of the AnimalsThe Carnival of the Animals is an entertaining musical suite of fourteen movements by Camille Saint-Saëns. The work was composed for private performance by an ensemble of two pianos and solo instruments. The Swan (No. 13) is among the fourteen most famous movements. In its entirety, it lasts about 25 minutes.Saint-Saëns BackgroundCharles-Camille Saint-Saëns 1835 – 1921) was, by all means, in particular, a famous French composer, brilliant organist, and significant musical mastermind of the Romantic era. Indeed, his most famous compositions, in the long run, include his Piano Concerto No. 2 (1868), Cello Concerto No. 1 (1872), and the Danse macabre (1874). Notwithstanding, we must also add Violin Concerto No. 3 (1880), Symphony No. 3 (the Organ Symphony, 1886), and, it must be remembered, Carnival of the Animals (1886) to the list.ChildhoodIt is essential to realize that Saint-Saëns was undoubtedly, in fact, a child musical prodigy. Consequently, with this in mind, he made his concert debut, albeit at ten years old. Another critical point to remember is that he expressly studied at the Paris Conservatoire, then, despite reality, conversely followed a traditional career path as a church organist. Nevertheless, twenty years later, on the other hand, he left to become a successful freelance pianist and composer despite, as has been noted, his former employment situation. Furthermore, his performances were, after all, markedly in demand - not only in Europe but, above all, in the Americas all in all as well.YouthA point often overlooked is that in his youth, Saint-Saëns was undoubtedly excited about the modern music of the day. He was, in essence, fond of the music of his contemporaries, particularly Schumann, Liszt, and, for the most part, Wagner. In contrast, however, his compositions seemed, in fact, primarily confined within the conservative classical tradition. Be that as it may, he was, at the same time, nevertheless, a scholar of musical history.CriticismOn the whole, his conservatism, in fact, ultimately brought him into frequent conflict in his later years with composers of the impressionist and, in particular, the dodecaphonic schools of musical thought. A point often overlooked is that he included neoclassical elements in his music, contrary to some critics. Furthermore, in so doing, he provided the most compelling evidence that he predicted the techniques and works by Stravinsky and Les Six. To put it another way, given these points, he was regarded, perhaps for the most part unfairly, as a non-progressive reactionary henceforth around the time of his passing.LegacySaint-Saëns taught briefly in Paris, where his students included Gabriel Fauré. Maurice Ravel later studied with Fauré. In conclusion, both Ravel and Fauré were powerfully influenced by Saint-Saëns, whom they respected as a musical mastermind.
