Timothy Stapay #928620. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1343108). This arrangement of Sometimes I'm Happy also includes the song I Want To Be Happy; both composed by Vincent Youmans. This arrangement is based upon Liberace's performance on his album, Piano Memories.A delightful and fun to play piano solo; written in the same style as played by piano artist Liberace. This version has a care-free and happy style that is both relaxing and has all the sparkle and magic that Liberace was known for.The song I Want To Be Happy was written for the 1925 musical No, No, Nanette. Vincent Millie Youmans (September 27, 1898 – April 5, 1946) was an American Broadway composer and producer. Many of his compositions are conseiderd standards.Władziu Valentino Liberace (May 16, 1919 – February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor. He was born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin and enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. At the height of his fame from the 1950s to 1970s, he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world!

Large Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Cello,Double Bass,Piano,Trombone,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.751123 Composed by Benedikt Brydern. Contemporary,Jazz. Score and parts. 132 pages. ConSordino Music Publishing #3568807. Published by ConSordino Music Publishing (A0.751123). This piece has been commissioned by a chamber music group consisting of members of the acclaimed Wuerttemberger Kammerorchester Heilbronn in Germany. They needed a piece for all participants of a crossover concert as a closer for the eclectic program. I settled on four movements named after four well known cocktails. The composition quotes b-a-c-h throughout in various disguises and blends light jazz with classical form. Duration approx 20 minutes. The audio sample is a compilation of 4 sections from all four movements.

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1097087 Composed by Traditional Spiritual. Arranged by Mark Lehnowsky. A Cappella,Contest,Festival,Historic,Spiritual,Traditional. Octavo. 10 pages. Mark Lehnowsky Music #700179. Published by Mark Lehnowsky Music (A0.1097087). Premiered by Dr. Anthony Leach and Essence of Joy at the Celebration of African American Spirituals (now known as the African American Music Festival), this arrangement was a hit at ACDA National Convention in Chicago. From concept to premiere in under a month, Wade in the Water quickly became a choir favorite. It is an in-your-face fusion of styles that ends with an enormous bang. It has a steep learning curve, but your choir will take enormous pride in the accomplishment. Its effect on audiences is special; I personally guarantee it. If you do this piece, I would like to know. Please email me in advance. I am more than happy to meet with your choir. There are some stories that will entertain them.

Brass Ensemble,Chamber Orchestra Euphonium,Trombone,Tuba - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.508209 Arranged by Eric Burger Music. Baroque. Score and parts. 40 pages. Eric Burger Music #3514925. Published by Eric Burger Music (A0.508209). Come, Jesus, Come - BWV 229, Liepzig (1731) It was composed in Leipzig, and received its first performance by 1731–1732. Bach scored the motet for double choir. It was probably composed for a funeral, as others of his motets but exact dates of composition and performance are not known. It is his only motet without biblical text. He set a poem by Paul Thymich, which Johann Schelle set as a funeral aria in 1684. Also unusually, the motet is not closed by a chorale, but by an aria which is harmonized like a chorale. The work has been described as having a confident, intimate and tender character, and making more use of polychorality (interplay of the two choirs) than polyphony (interplay of the voices), containing no fugue. The theme of the text is death as the happy moment when man, tired of earthly life, can confide in Jesus, who is seen as Truth and Life and the only way to eternal life. (From Wikipedia) View the score with playback at:https://youtu.be/iOjStrr-vO8 This quality work is published by Eric Burger Music: www.EricBurgerMusic.com Each of these Trombone and Low Brass Ensemble works is arranged and transcribed with the intent of provide the musician with an opportunity to play works from notable composers otherwise not available to them, using the construct and voicings the compose intended. Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767553 Composed by Mike Lyons. Contemporary,Standards. 56 pages. Lyons Music Services #5827839. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767553). This brand-new piece for wind quintet came about through the coronavirus lockdown and my observations of our UK politicians and how they behaved (One rule for them...) In terms of the music, each line is related to other lines through patterns of 5, 7 or 9 beats (or half beats). Each repetition of the pattern starts with all the instruments in that particular group playing on the first beat. As the music progresses and develops, motifs appear out of the combinations of these beats with each other. Gradually, these patterns and motifs develop melodies which then form the backbone of the piece. The first section (I hesitate to use the term movement) labelled Plotting develops a character of wiliness. It represents, in its twisting strands, the plotting of politicians to aggrandise themselves. The bottom 3 parts form an 'undercurrent' to the music as the 5,7 and 9 beat counts overlap and process. The flute and oboe, meanwhile, generate the first melodic strand - which becomes important in the later movements. The opening quaver patterns are passed around the whole ensemble, keeping the rhythmic pulse going. It slips between the anchoring notes of the lower 3 parts, as well as being essential to the development of the flute and oboe melodic material and stopping the bassoon part being too boring! The long winding, rising and falling line on the oboe and flute is deliberately ambiguous in its tonality, leading one to feel it strives upwards, but then loses its way. The frequent dissonances as this line crosses itself in the other parts represents the effect of all the plotting on ordinary people. Before letter B, there are a couple of brief hints of Dies Irae, but I didn’t want that idea to dominate too much. After B and into C, we get the day-to-day chitchat in Westminster, with interjections from many voices proclaiming their message, trying to persuade their colleagues and just leading to confusion and tonal extremism. From letter C to the end of the section is an extended accel/stretto as the discussion gets more heated. Section 2 is titled Scheming. The tempo is faster than the previous section, but the pace is slower. More motives have formed and developed organically out of the rhythm and pitch patterns. The 5/7/9 cross rhythms are now at double speed, giving a fiercer drive to the music. The bassoon and horn, for now, adhere to the longer pulse of the first section, providing something of a harmonic underpinning. At bar 101, the long but now slightly broken narrative line of the first movement returns in modified form. This now provides a backdrop for the rhythmic bartering and ‘back and forth’ of the political day. The section reaches a climax as the political bickering becomes rowdier. Section 3 begins in a relatively happy mood. The bassoon has a jolly capering little motif, later taken up by other members of the ensemble. There are hints of English folk tune-ness in the resulting conversation, perhaps emphasised by the overlays of this pleasant melody from letter D. Letter E is a ‘turning point’ as all the rhythmic pulses finally align again. This is the first time all five parts have played on the same beat since the opening. At Letter G, a pulsing drone is added to the mix, using the quaver version of the pulse. Perhaps representing the soring of politicians. There is a parallel drone added at letter H, these drones use the 5 (bassoon) and 7 (horn) beat pulses. The result is a solid underpinning of the rhythmic and melodic ideas in the upper 3 parts. After letter I comes a reprise of the spritely bassoon motif with dissonant harmonies as the discussion becomes more heated. The little semiquaver figures have the rhythm Mr. Speaker as members of the house shout for attention. In the repeat bars, we hear the Speaker shout Order! Letter J provides an altered reprise of the begi.

Holyone Tombari Dodoh #129341. Published by Holyone Tombari Dodoh (A0.518631). The broken hearted. Lyrics performed by an Open Source Virtual Singer Software (bot). Score and parts included. Lyrics No, no, no, no, no! Can't hide it anymore, She's happy but I'm hurt, I want to be her joy; She said I'm so annoy'ng, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! She has no hope in me making it big, She saw no future in me becoming rich, She chose luxury over me; Baby I'm so sorry! She saw no happiness with me so soon, She chose money over me Because I was broke; We ate together, We laughed together; We loved each other: She said she love me I am everything to her, She said I meant the world and the life in her, But she chose luxury over me, Baby I'm so sorry! Luxury so sweet; the life she feels I cannot give, She chose money over me Because I was broke; I was out in the colds Just to gist with you, I know my failures Made me look senseless And my path rejections Made me look worthless; I buried my labour just to make you so happy And sweet smile on your face gave me joy and hope on my dreams I will never forget you, I will always remember, For the memory of you Had consumed my thoughts, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! I thought I was the one for you all this while, I hope your luxury will love and care for you More than the way I would love and care for you, Because I thought my little love was just enough She chose money over me Because I was broke; No, no, no, no, no! Can't hide it any more, She's happy but I'm hurt, I want to be her joy; She said I'm so annoy'ng, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! My dreams of promises to her is gone with her For it never became a reality, I told her to never leave me. She said I'm giving her tough times. I called her my Belov'd the one in whom I am well pleased, I told her it will be all right for one day we Will make it to the top of the World together, But she never believed me Because I was broke; She started feeling bored for texting and chatting with me; She started laying False accusations against me; I denied pleasure and Distance just to be with her And made her so happy But she could not do same for me, Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! She suspects me for what I do not know, I had to let it go For her to be happy Because that's what she wants! Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! It's hard to say the word Because I was broke; Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry! Baby I'm so sorry!

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1023641 Composed by Ben Ledochowski. 20th Century,Contemporary,New Age. Score. 15 pages. Ben Ledochowski #6217567. Published by Ben Ledochowski (A0.1023641). Flying Kites is a piece that had its start back in the summer of 2019, the summer I left my home and moved across the country for my first year college. The original version was a sort of goodbye letter to my best friend, as well as a thank you to him for helping make me the person I am now. Since then, the piece has gone through several rewrites and evolutions to reach its current form, and I'm more prioud of it now than ever. It's also helped me get accepted into the composition programs at two different universities by being a part of my auditions to both schools and remains to this day my most popular composition, so I figured I should do it justice by uploading it here since more than 2 years have passed since its inception. I hope you enjoy it, and happy playing!

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.873046 Composed by Sally Whitwell. Contemporary. Score. 11 pages. Sally Whitwell #6119391. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.873046). A Week in November… and what a week it was! It was the week of the US Presidential Election 2020. As I write these words, the absurdist tantrums of the Trump-Pence campaign versus the reasoned compassion of team Biden-Harris continues even well after the results have been called in the Democrats’ favour. There will not be the usual respectful concession speech and transition of power. I worry every day about how these next few months will be so very difficult, maybe even dangerous, for my American friends. Those convoys of flag waving Trumpists gleefully, openly, encouraged by their ‘leader’, attempting to block the democratic process was horrifying to witness. Was America on the brink of civil war? It still doesn’t seem far fetched to think that as I sit in my studio on the other side of the world, feeling helpless. The only thing I felt that I could do for my friends over there was to offer them a way to feel safe and loved in the moment, a bit of musical mindfulness. It was in this spirit that I wrote the second movement of this work, subtitled A Pocket Full of Calm. My excellent pianist friends Erica Sipes (USA) and Sandra Mogensen (Canada) adopted my little tune, recorded it on their social media to share said moment in the moment as it were. I hope it helped. I mean, if I can bring to even just one person some sense of calm solidarity, I’m happy with that. The fifth movement in the set, Victorious, resolute, but gracious, was a stream-of-consciousness creative response to the Biden Harris victory and the way they handled it so eloquently, so humbly, how they gave the world a sense of optimism once more. For a long while, I’d felt that I probably wouldn’t be welcome in America. As a mixed race, queer woman I was the antithesis of everything they valued. But now, people like me over there can feel human again. The relief! As for the other days of that week in November, they are part of a continuing series of daily composition exercises I started back in October in an effort to end a lengthy period of pandemic-induced creative block. Using a combination of exercises from Music Composition Toolbox (Barbeler/Blom/Hindson) and Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies I’ve been able to find my creativity again. Starting a composition ‘habit’ is the best thing I’ve done for my writing all year and is how I mean to continue for a long time. Sally Whitwell12 November 2020

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138474 By Louise du Toit. By Louise du Toit. Arranged by Louise du Toit. Contemporary. Score. 17 pages. Louise du Toit #738812. Published by Louise du Toit (A0.1138474). Intshe the Ostrich is the eighth in a series of fifteen original contemporary compositions for piano, titled 15 Animal Compositions for Piano and created to musically describe the movement and habits of specific wildlife creatures. From music notes to words: Intshe the old ostrich is in a very good mood. Walking through the South African fields surrounding Oudtshoorn, he comes across a narrow road leading to a desolated farmyard where a lot of delicious junk is waiting to be explored. He sees two ancient metal spoons and swallows it; then he gulps down an empty beer bottle, an old, broken wristwatch and a few shiny metal pieces. On his way back to the fields, he adds two round stones to his collection of strange, edible things. Feeling extremely happy after the gourmet meal, he starts moving around in a very weird way, dancing his heart out until his legs are like jelly. Every now and then he stands still for a few moments, opening and closing his wings to cool down from the heat of the exercise; then he dances again until he collapses of exhaustion, ready to take a very long nap in the hot South African sun. .

Published by Nicholas White Music (A0.1253228). A choral setting of the ancient vesper hymn for choir and organ, composed for the choir of St. John Cantius Parish, Chicago, and dedicated to the memory of Gordon McMillan. This was recorded on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the glorious surroundings of St. John Cantius, and was premiered at Mass on Sunday, June 30, 2019.Decóra lux æternitátis, áureamDiem beátis irrigávit Ãgnibus,Apostolórum quæ corónat PrÃncipes,ReÃsque in astra lÃberam pandit viam.Mundi MagÃster atque cæli Iánitor,Romæ paréntes arbitrÃque géntium,Per énsis ille, hic per crucis victor necem,Vitæsenátum laureáti póssident.O Roma felix, quæ duórum PrÃncipumEs consecráta glorióso sánguine!Hórum cruóre purpuráta céterasExcéllis orbis una pulchritúdines.Sit Trinitáti sempitérna glória,Honor, potéstas atque iubilátio,In unitáte, quæ gubérnat ómnia,Per univérsa sæculórum sǽcula.Amen.The beauteous light of God's eternal majestyStreams down in golden rays to grace this holy dayWhich crowned the princes of the Apostles' glorious choir,And unto guilty mortals showed the heavenward way.The teacher of the world and keeper of heaven's gate,Rome's founders twain and rulers too of every land,Triumphant over death by sword and shameful cross,With laurel crowned are gathered to the eternal band.O happy Rome! who in thy martyr princes' blood,A twofold stream, art washed and doubly sanctified. All earthly beauty thou alone outshinest far,Empurpled by their outpoured life-blood's glorious tide. All honour, power, and everlasting jubileeTo him who all things made and governs here below,To God in essence One, and yet in persons Three,Both now and ever, while unending ages flow.Amen.(Hymn from the Office of Vespers for SS Peter and Paul).

Concert Band - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.995848 Composed by Andrew Strawn. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 164 pages. Andrew Strawn #4629351. Published by Andrew Strawn (A0.995848). The Mad Adventurer is arguably one of my most monumental works. Comprising of three movements (listed in detail below) it depicts the stress of an Adventurer and his eventual insanity. Composed for Symphonic Band, I hope you enjoy, The Mad Adventurer. I. Dangerous Waters The Great Adventurer has travelled for many years. He has fought in great battles and discovered beautiful treasures. It is for the immense joy he quests. The adventures continue to become more challenging, yet the Great Adventurer always succeeds. II. The Tormented Heart Contrary to his fun from quests, the Adventurer now has a family back home, and he worries what would happen to them if he didn't return. His constant absence caused by his desire for adventure is straining the relationship with his family. He loves them but is always away from them. All the while, death looms above and threatens to end the adventures. III.The Madman The stress and torment of his quests are finally getting to the Adventurer. His emotions are becoming out of control and his mind, irrational. The Adventurer realizes he must return to his family to save his sanity, if not his life. He sets out on one final quest to return home. The trials more mounting than ever before. The once, Great Adventurer is going insane. Until, finally, he crests the hill, and reunites with his family. In the joyful arms of his wife and kids, he is once again, happy.Note: PDF includes a legal-sized score and a letter-sized set of parts.

The American Seasons (score – violin and string orchestra) MO148AScore (parts available)Music by Mark O’Connor99 pages - 38:00 minutes in length The American Seasons(Seasons Of An American Life)The American Seasons (Seasons Of An American Life) is a concerto for Violin And Chamber Orchestra. Composed in 1999, the music celebrates the various stages of an American life at the waking of the 21st century. Constructed in four movements and representing four stages of life, birth, adolescence, maturity and old age, the music also pays homage to Shakespeare's Seasons Of Man His acts being seven ages, incorporated throughout the work.Spring introduces the ideas of birth and infancy. After the principal theme has been stated, there is a violin cadenza encountering all twelve major keys and a 13/8 time signature representing the ancient golden ratio. These elements recall birth with all the possibilities a new life offers. Ending the movement, the principal theme is repeated with more complexity... as if posing life's questions.Summer represents the excitement and bravado of youthful adolescence and young adulthood. For the style of this movement I use a happy-go-lucky Blues voice which melds into Swing. I identify swing rhythm in all of 20th century American music culture as a common thread that runs through Ragtime through Rock and Roll on to Rap. Swing means testing the waters and pushing the envelope for lovers and soldiers.Fall is the slow movement symbolizing the wisdom of maturity. It is a peaceful theme with nostalgic strokes. It is a time for sincere reflection and enjoying ones accomplishments in life.Winter embodies the complexities and knowledge of an older person and that of a dying person. The movement begins with the principal them from Spring, but with a dissonance that emanates from a lifetime full of emotions and responsibilities. In the middle of the movement is a transition to an old world. I use my personal ancestry from Ireland as a foundation from which to rediscover one's lineage and explore the meaning and value of a cultural legacy. The exploration evolves into a four- and five-part fugue with a reel, jig, air, countered bass and the motif from the principal theme. All these elements, dances and melodies appear simultaneously and converge to form a unique insight to life's consequences from a historical perspective. Following the fugue, the principal theme finds its way back in. It sounds much as it did at birth. In the end, the solo violin cadenza carries the last earthly breaths before the violin and orchestra once again join in harmony to focus on a new life being transformed somewhere else. Life's four seasons in perpetuity.
