String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1333373 Composed by Franz Schubert (1797-1828). Arranged by Stephen Levintow. 19th Century,Chamber,Romantic Period. 25 pages. Cypress Publishing #919561. Published by Cypress Publishing (A0.1333373). A bouquet of dances for string ensemble such as might have been assembled for dancing in Schubert's time. The collection consists of eight Ländler followed by the rousing Grätzer Galopp.CYPRESS PUBLISHING is pleased to be the imprint for arrangements for string ensemble by Stephen Levintow. He is a free lance professional violist and violinist specializing in chamber music, who began making string quartet and trio arrangements for wedding, party and corporate events, to expand the repertory or to improve on existing versions. Selections include unusual pieces by both familiar and lesser-known composers, plus standard classical and popular favorites. The goal is to produce high-quality, musically satisfying arrangements faithful to the composer’s original material, yet sight-readable in most cases by working professionals or intermediate to advanced students. The full range of normal string technique is employed, while avoiding unnecessary technical complexity. Melodic material is distributed throughout the four voices where appropriate, to maintain listener and performer interest. All parts and scores are set in Sibelius© software format, with careful attention to legibility and page turns.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167738 Composed by Johannes Brahms (1833 – 1897). Arranged by James M. Guthrie. 19th Century,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Romantic Period,Wedding. 38 pages. Jmsgu3 #768067. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1167738). The 14 Deutsche Volkslieder WoO 34 is a collection of 14 German folk songs harmonized by Brahms. These songs, composed between 1858 and 1868 and published in two volumes in 1869 and 1877, include secular and sacred pieces. Dedicated to the Vienna Singacademie, they are considered significant as they showcase Brahms' skill in arranging and harmonizing folk melodies. The pieces draw on traditional German folk songs from various regions and periods. The collection includes a variety of styles and topics, from love songs to religious hymns and from drinking songs to dance tunes. The group is a testament to Brahms' interest in folk music and his contribution to preserving and popularizing German folk songs. Brahms' contemporaries reacted positively to his 14 Deutsche Volkslieder WoO 34. Brahms' skill in arranging and harmonizing folk melodies was highly regarded by his contemporaries, and the enduring appeal of these songs is evident in their arrangements for various ensembles, such as mixed choir and wind band. These songs help to preserve and popularize German folk music, reflecting Brahms' dedication to this musical tradition. The pieces are generally lighthearted and lyrical, often performed in concerts and recordings as part of the German choral tradition.Contents:1. Von edler Art2. Mit Lust tät ich ausreiten3. Arranged by Nat Brookes. Hip-Hop,Pop,R & B. Score and parts. 47 pages. Nat Brookes #649140. Published by Nat Brookes (A0.1044415). S&M - Rihanna Arranged by Nat Brookes for String QuartetPop Pad This is a total bop! A great song, playfully arranged for string quartet. Great for ensembles with attitude. Originally in Eâ™m, I have thoughtfully written the parts so that it can easily be played up one semitone in Em. There’s a lovely section featuring some jeté bowing in the second violin later on which could easily be simplified for less experienced players. This catchy, uptempo, Hi-NRG dance-pop anthem featured in the highly successful first Pitch Perfect film, with Ester Dean (who wrote it) nailing that iconic intro. S&M peaked at number one in ten countries in addition to the United States while peaking within the top five in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Ireland. As one of Rihanna’s most memorable songs, it’s sure to be recognised by many. Important: Included: Score and set of parts in Eâ™m and Em. I try to keep parts to two pages long, but in this case it wasn’t possible. Each part is three pages long Rehearsal marks throughout. Parts in Eâ™m are pages 11-24 Parts in Em are pages 36-47 You can help me to continue arranging pop songs by reviewing my arrangements and liking Pop Pad on Facebook. Find more great arrangements here Thanks, Nat

Suitable for recitals, church meditations, or school programs.  Dvořák Background AntonÃn Dvořák (1841 –1904) was, of course, a composer from Czechoslovakia. As a matter of fact, he was among the first Bohemian composers to attain universal recognition. It is important to realize that the late Romantic Nationalist period featured composers who used traditional and folk elements to portray the character of their nation. In particular, we see this in the music of Grieg (Norway), Finland (Sibelius), and Smetana (Bohemia).  Dvořák relied markedly on rhythms and other characteristics of Moravian and Bohemian folk music. Ascent to Fame Dvořák was truly a child musical prodigy on the violin. The premiere performances of his compositions notably occurred in 1872 and 1873. He submitted his First Symphony in particular to a German competition, but it failed to win. Consequently, in 1874 he presented two more symphonies to the Austrian State Prize for Composition. Johannes Brahms was the principal of the jury and was accordingly very impressed. They forthwith awarded the prize to Dvořák in 1874, 1876, and 1877. At this point, Brahms thereupon endorsed Dvořák to the publisher Simrock. Later, the publisher commissioned Dvořák to compose the Slavonic Dances, Op. 46. These became popular overnight and, as a result, Dvořák's worldwide status was launched. International Status Dvořák visited England upon invitation nine times. On each visit, he frequently conducted performances of his own compositions. He conducted concerts of his music, especially in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Eventually, the Prague Conservatory in fact appointed Dvořák as a professor. There, to be sure, he wrote his famous Dumky Trio. United States Consequently, the National Conservatory of Music of America appointed him as director in 1892. As a result, Dvořák composed his two most famous symphonic works: the Symphony No. 9 (From the New World), which spread his name universally, and his Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, one of the most famous of all cello works. Moreover, he wrote his most celebrated American String Quartet during this time. At the same time, because of his growing recognition in Europe and his homesickness for his own country, he left to return to Bohemia in 1895.
