Flute Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.964349 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Leyandder Trustworthy. Baroque,Christian,Instructional,Standards,World. Individual part. 8 pages. Leyandder Trustworthy #6219791. Published by Leyandder Trustworthy (A0.964349). The present collection was the result of research and dedication, in order to analyze and select well-known works of good execution, for this instrument (flute), unfortunately, it was necessary to leave some better known works out of the collection, such as: Toccata and Fuga in D minor; BWV 565 and the Brandemburgo Concerts, as soon as, these are not so favorable for execution on wind instruments, as well as they are of high difficulty. The purpose of this work is for beginners and interediate practitioners on wind instruments, and it can be used effectively by teachers and musical educators who need a material of easy accessibility, as well as good reading and interpretation quality. This material also has the aid of a cipher to be used in accompaniment of a harmonic instrument, because there is not always the availability of a professional pianist to accompany the student. In view of the above-mentioned considerations, I conclude by saying that the inspiration for the fabrication of this work is due to the reality observed in many music schools that are in a precarious state, not only of musical instruments or basic teaching materials, but also the lack of good quality musical editions accessible to educators and students, so that they have access to the great works making our musical future guaranteed of good musical quality and accessible to all.AIR ON THE G STRING; BWV 1068ARIOSO (Sinfonia); BWV 156GAVOTTE I; BWV 808FUGUE IN C MINOR; BWV 847bMINUET IN G MAJOR; BWV Ahn. 114MUSETTE IN D MAJOR; BWV Ahn. 126BOURRÉE; BWV 996PRELUDE; BWV 1007JESU, JOY OF MAN'S DESIRING; BWV 147BADINERIE; BWV 1067MINUET; BWV 825

Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767215 Composed by Claudio Monteverdi. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Baroque,Renaissance. Score and parts. 307 pages. Lyons Music Services #3087101. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767215). Monteverdi - The Fourth Book of Madrigals 1603In this book, Monteverdi continues to develop the techniques and writing practices that would eventually form the first opera and his Stile Nuovo. The polyphony becomes more complex and more tonal and the interdependence of the parts more striking. He is experimenting with more dissonance but also moves towards more tonal writing. Although a far cry from the I IV V and minor of the modern pop song, he is nonetheless helping to push forward a more diatonic type of harmony with a more dramatic tonal and harmonic structure that goes much more towards true word painting than his previous books. All 20 madrigals are here: 1. Ah! Dolente Partita – Oh, Sweet Parting!2. Cor Mio Mentre Vi Miro – My Heart as I dream I turn into you. 3. Cor Mio Non Mori? E Mori – My heart did not die? And it died4. Sfogava con le stelle – He dallied with the stars 5. Volgea l' anima mia – Volgea my soul, so dear and sweetly shining 6. Anima mia perdona – My soul forgives 7. Che se tu se ' il cor mio – That if you are as good as my heart 8. Luci Serene e Chiare – Lights, serene and clear 9. La piaga c'ho nel core – The plague is in the heart 10. Voi pur da me partite – You do not mind me, though 11. A un Giro Sol de' Begl' Occhi – At one glance of good eyes 12. Ohime se Tanto Amate – Alas! If you like it too much 13. Io Mi Son Giovinetta – I’m a young girl, laughing and singing 14. Quel Augellin Che Canta – That little bird that sings 15. Non Più Guerra Pietate – No more fighting, pray, my beautiful eyes 16. Si Ch'io Vorrei Morire – How I want to die 17. Anima Dolorosa – Suffering soul that lives so much pain and torment 18. Anima Del Cor Mio – My soul’s heart 19. Longe da Te Cor Mio – Stay away from me 20. Piagne e Sospira – He drinks and sighs Parts are supplied to suit flexible brass or wind (or both) quintets as follows:Flexible quintet parts are supplied as follows:Part 1 in Bb,Part 2 in Bb, Part 3 in Bb/Eb/F, Part 4 in Bb/Eb/C(Bass clef) and Part 5 in Bb/Eb/C(Bass clef)

Large Ensemble Alto Recorder,Alto Saxophone,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.966364 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Greg Shapley. Baroque,Classical. Score and parts. 1 pages. Greg Shapley #3530753. Published by Greg Shapley (A0.966364). A nice, short, accessible rendition of a Bach classic. It's a tune that everyone will recognize reduced to a one minute chunk that young flute/alto recorder/clarinet (etc.) players can master confidently without the intimidation of pages of notes (also good for violins and possibly other instruments). It is an extract, but crafted so that it sounds like a complete piece (good for auditions). Includes beginner features such as courtesy accidental and a recommended tempo a bit slower than the original (as per the recording).Duration: Approx 1 minute.

Piano,Trombone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549221 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Baroque,Holiday,Standards,Wedding. Score and part. 9 pages. Jmsgu3 #3468176. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549221). J. S. Bach BWV 508. Bist du bei mir Bach adapted this aria from a lost Stölzel opera called Diomedes. He changed the original orchestral instrumentation to soprano, strings, and continuo.  He also modified the voice-leading making it sound more like a Bach composition. The work appears as BWV 508 No. 25 in the Anna Magdalena Notebook No. 2.  Source Only a few remnants of the original opera have survived. Historians speculate that Anna Magdalena got the song from the Leipzig Opera after the bankruptcy of 1720. Chances are good, though, that the tune was a favorite of everyone in Leipzig at the time.  Lyrics When thou art near, I go with joyTo death and to my rest.O how joyous would my end be,If your fair hands      Would close my faithful eyes. - Unknown Bach Overview First of all, Johann Sebastian Bach is maybe the greatest composer in music history. Certainly, he was prolific. As a result, everyone has heard of his works. Furthermore, these works number well over a thousand. It seems like people are probably most familiar with instrumental works such as the Brandenburg Concertos, and the Goldberg Variations. But, similarly famous are such noteworthy works as the Well-Tempered Clavier, the Musical Offering, and certainly the Art of Fugue. Seems like his most famous vocal works include the most noteworthy Mass in B Minor. Also, most noteworthy are the St. John Passion, and indeed the Christmas Oratorio.  History Bach came from a long line of musicians and above all, composers. Consequently, he, first of all, pursued a career as a church organist. So as a result, he gained employment in various Protestant churches in Germany. For a while, he worked as a court musician in Weimar and Köthen. Here he probably developed his organ style and likewise his chamber music style. Eventually, he, therefore, gained an appointment as Cantor of St. Thomas in Leipzig. Here he worked until difficulties with his employer ultimately drove him away. The King of Poland finally appointed him as court composer.  Style It seems like Bach created a fascinating new international style. He synthesized elements of the most noteworthy European music ideas into his new style. Even more, this new style was probably his synthesis of European musical rhythm and form. Furthermore, he demonstrated a complete mastery of counterpoint and motivic development. His sense of harmonic organization probably propelled him to the top. Revival        Mendelssohn conducted a Bach revival in the nineteenth century. His effort probably helped to re-familiarize the public with the magnitude of Bach’s works. During this period, scholars published many noteworthy Bach biographies. Moreover, Wolfgang Schmieder published the BWV (Bach Werke Verzeichnis). As a result, this is now the official catalog of his entire artistic output. The BWV number allows us to locate a work in the catalog. Sometimes scholars will simply use an S (Schmieder) as an abbreviation for BWV.  Voyager NASA launched two Voyager spacecraft in 1977. Onboard are phonograph records with sounds, music, and images of life on Earth. The purpose of the launch was to inform intelligent extraterrestrial life forms about conditions on Earth. The music on the disc is varied. There is Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Stravinsky among others. However, because Bach is so important in our music history, it contains three times more Bach than all the others combined. Â
