Â Union is about one minute in length and can be extended for larger bridal parties by playing the piano portion only during the bridesmaids entrance and then adding the strings upon entry of the bride. An arrangement of the regional anthem of Brittanny for Brass Quintet.
Bro Gozh ma Zadoù (Breton: Old Land of My Fathers) is the anthem of Brittany, sometimes presented as the "national anthem" although it has no official status. It is sung to the same tune as that of the national anthem of Wales, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, and has similar words. The Cornish anthem, Bro Goth Agan Tasow, is also sung to the same tune.
The Breton lyrics are the creation of François Jaffrennou in 1897, and the music was that composed by James James, of Pontypridd, Wales, for Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau. The new song was first published in 1898, and circulated as Henvelidigez ("Adaptation"). It was chosen as national anthem (and a song to celebrate friendship between the Welsh and Bretons) in 1903, at a Congress of the Union Régionaliste Bretonne held in Lesneven. Maurice Duhamel adapted it for the piano, and it was first recorded by Pathé in 1910.
James James (also known by the bardic name Iago ap Ieuan) (1833–1902) was a harpist and musician from Pontypridd, Wales. He composed the tune of the Welsh national anthem Hen Wlad fy Nhadau (also known as Land of my Fathers).
He was born on 4 November 1832, at the ’Ancient Druid’ inn, Hollybush, in the parish of Bedwellty, Monmouthshire. He was the son of Evan James (1809-1878) and Elizabeth Stradling of Caerphilly. His father, a Welsh versifier under the pen-name of leuan ab lago, moved with his family about 1844 to Pontypridd, where he carried on the business of weaver and wool merchant. His son James assisted him in the business.
James James composed the melody which was later known as Hen Wlad fy Nhadau in January 1856. At first it was known as Glan Rhondda (The banks of the Rhondda), and gave rise to the tradition that the tune had come to him as he walked on the bank of the River Rhondda. His father, Evan James, wrote the lyrics that eventually became the words of the Welsh national anthem.
A memorial to James James and his father, in the shape of two figures representing the muses of Poetry and Music, stands in Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd. James James died in Aberdare in the Cynon Valley 11 January 1902,[3] he is buried in the local cemetery at Aberdare in the same grave as his wife Cecilia and daughter Louisa.

This famous piece by Mozart was composed only six months before his untimely death in 1791. Mozart wrote this on commission while working on the Magic Flute. Program this for Lent or Easter meditations or any Christian communion service. Also, this would be a strong recital encore showing mastery of phrasing, tone quality, and dynamics.Ave verum corpusFirst, Mozart composed a most noteworthy motet in Latin, Ave verum corpus. This translates in English as Hail, the actual body. The motet is undoubtedly listed as K.618 in the Köchel Catalog. This is a chronological catalog of Mozart’s compositions consequently published by Ludwig von Köchel. Seems like Mozart probably composed this motet in the last year of his life. Likewise, he worked on his final opera, the Magic Flute, and his Requiem Mass at the time. Mozart wrote it for the feast of Corpus Christi. He scored it for SATB choir, string instruments, and a small organ. Hence, while the Requiem is a more dramatic work, the motet expresses even more the Eucharistic thoughts with relatively simple means, well-matched for the church choir in a small town.Early YearsWolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791) was a productive and significant Austrian classical composer. Mozart displayed unusual musical capability from his earliest childhood. It seems like he could already play the keyboard and violin at age two. He started composing at age five and performed before European royalty.Middle PeriodAt 17, Mozart was working as a musician at the Salzburg Royal Court but grew agitated from boredom and traveled to search for a more exciting job. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was summarily dismissed from his Salzburg job. Nevertheless, he decided to stay in the Capital (Vienna), where he achieved much fame but little economic haven. Throughout his concluding years in the Capital, he composed many of his most famous works: symphonies, operas, and concertos.Final PeriodThe conditions surrounding his death have been the subject of much conjecture and mythology. He composed over 600 works, many recognized as high points of symphonic, chamber, concertante, choral, and operatic. He is among the most everlastingly famous classical composers, and his impact is substantial on succeeding Western art music.

Barry Gibb later re-recorded the song with country quartet Little Big Town for his 2021 album Greenfields.On Friday, 21 August 1970, the three Gibb brothers announced they would reunite and start recording together, nearly 16 months after Robin quit the group. They said later that they wrote Lonely Days and How Can You Mend a Broken Heart at their first reunion session, but the exact day when they recorded the song is unknown. However, a tape of stereo mixes received at Atlantic in October bears the tantalizing notation August 20, 1970 which, if true, means the brothers announced the reunion the day after it happened. According to Robin Gibb in a 2001 Billboard interview with the Bee Gees, That was written on Addison Road in Holland Park in London, in the basement of Barry's place.This song was sung by all three together to Maurice's piano and bass and Bill Shepherd's string and horn arrangement, the slow verses contrasting with the pounding chorus. 'Lonely Days' was written in ten minutes. It was that quick. I was at the piano ten minutes.
