Pour Sonate K 284 , variation XI dans le dernier mouvement est donnée à la fois dans la version qui apparaît dans le manuscrit original et la version utilisée dans la première édition , afin de rendre la musique plus facile à lire , les deux versions sont donnés en impression normale taille . Une musique qui est clair et bien aménagé , avec page se tourne dans des endroits pratiques , rend cette édition extrêmement convivial .Conseils sur la performance par le célèbre Mozart spécialiste Robert D. Research has shown that many printed editions from the 18th Century provide more reliable guidance as to the composer’s intentions than Mozart’s own autograph manuscript; the composer himself prepared many of his works for printing marking them with precise performance instructions for dynamics and articulation. He devoted particular care to the slow movements which are often richly ornamented in the printed editions.This knowledge together with regained access to source materials in the libraries of Eastern Europe gives us sufficient grounds to publish a new Wiener Urtext edition of Mozart’s Sonatas. Advice on performance from the renownedMozart connoisseur Robert D. Levin provides fresh stimulus for revising rather tired standard interpretations of Mozart.

Vol 1 Ut 50226 + Vol 2 Ut 50227-For more than 200 years Mozart’s piano sonatas have been part of every pianist’s repertoire. Research done over the last few decades has made it possible however to establish more accurate dating and ordering of these works. For Sonata K 284 variation XI in the final movement is given both in the version that appears in the original manuscript and in the version used in the first edition; in order to make the music easier to read both versions are given in normal print size. Since then Haydn's sonatas have progressed from the teaching rooms to the concert halls and Landon's edition has played a crucial role in that process. The Haydn anniversary in 2009 is a welcome occasion to thoroughly revise this 'legendary' edition for over the course of more than forty years new sources have come to light and questions of authenticity have been resolved not least because the editorial principles for 18th-centurymusic have changed considerably. The new edition comprises all works of the previous Wiener Urtext edition plus the sonata Hob. XVI:16 edited by Landon along with the Sonata in F major which was rediscovered in Bozen a few years ago and attributed to Joseph Haydn. The new edition is published in four volumes the content of each volume being compatible with the volumes of the previous edition. Volumes 1 and 2 contain the early sonatas. Par MOZART WOLFGANG AMADEUS. Since their publication in the New Mozart Edition, Mozart's sonatas K. 10–15 count as piano trios. Furthermore, the title of the first edition, published by father and son Mozart in 1765 reads 'Six Sonates pour le Clavecin qui puevent se jouer avec l'accompagnement de Violon ou Flaute Traversiere”. In other words, these pieces are harpsichord sonatas that may be accompanied at will by a violin or a transverse flute. In a partial press run of the first edition a cello part was included. Our new edition is the first to take these conflicting formats into account by presenting two separate versions, one being the unaltered harpsichord part, the other a full score with separateinstrumental parts for violin/flute and cello. The harpsichord part [CV 51. 010/10] is indeed capable of standing by itself and requires no instrumental expansion. The melody instrument, in contrast, merely function as an accompaniment or contribute brief interjections, or, in the case of the cello, reinforce the left hand of the keyboard. In other words, K. 10–15 are not only Mozart's earliest piano trios, they are also his earliest keyboard sonatas to survive intact./ Répertoire / Violon, Violoncelle et Piano

This new edition contains the facsimile of the entire Mozart autograph plus the musical text newly edited by Ulrich Leisinger who drew upon the autograph and the first edition as found in the first volume of the new Wiener Urtext edition of Mozart's Piano sonatas (UT 50226).The editor's decisions can be followed in the critical annotations as well as perhaps even more importantly in the direct comparison with the original manuscript. The edited musical text with fingerings tried and tested page turns and a clear engraving offers a very convenient basis for practical use. The preface gives information about the work's origins and the autograph'seventful history.
