This Method for Alto Recorder, which is a continuation of the three volumes for soprano recorder, will continue to place great importance on developing musicianship, breathing technique, sound production, rhythmic security and the introduction of music theory. At the heart of this method lies a seamless crossover from soprano to alto recorder whilst maintaining and developing the student?s soprano recorder playing. The first volumes of Fun and Games with the Recorder for soprano recorder are intended for use with children from about six years of age. This method for alto recorder is therefore aimed at children of around 10-12 years. As in the previous books in this series we address the child directly and provide carefully planned and precisely formulated exercises. This method is suitable for use both in group and individual lessons. The Easy Concert Pieces series presents easy to intermediate pieces for trumpet with piano accompaniment. Pieces typical of their era and suitable for auditions, public performance, competitions or examinations are ordered according to level of difficulty in three volumes. These Easy Concert Pieces also provide appealing additional material for use in trumpet lessons. All the pieces are recorded on the CD included with each book, both in full and playback versions (piano accompaniment). In addition to the enclosed part for trumpet in Bb, a part for trumpet in C (Schott ED 22555-01) is available for download at www.schott-music.com. Volume 1 (ED 22555) contains very easy to easy pieces with a range up to written c”, with d” appearing as a short top note in just a few pieces. Simple and memorable rhythms, readily playable note sequences and patterns of articulation that can be mastered quickly and easily make this book ideal for beginners. Volume 2 (ED 22556) contains easy to intermediate pieces with a range no higher than f”. Besides extending rhythmic scope and requiring a little more in terms of phrasing and articulation, these pieces will encourage further exploration of musical contrasts. Volume 3 (ED 22557) is of medium difficulty and intended for players with a well-developed embouchure who can play notes up to written g”, though this note only appears as a short top note. The clarinet method op. 63 by Carl Baermann from 1867 is still a standard work in classical clarinet education today. The thoroughly revised new edition aims at reviewing the educational concept, which is still valid today, for modern lessons, adjusting the music and texts, and sensibly complementing the teaching contents.The editor who draws on many years of experience as a clarinettist in an orchestra and university lecturer of clarinet has succeeded in adapting the valuable teaching material to the requirements of today while maintaining the basic methodology. Further additions of scale and triad studies in all major and minor keys make this method a comprehensive and thorough work of study which not only serves as teaching material for young and adult beginners, but is also a valuable compendium of scale exercises and studies for advanced musicians and is ideal for training velocity and dexterity.The Clarinet Method Vols. 1 and 2 contain not only scales and technical fingering exercises but also Baermann's popular performance pieces, like Romanze (No. 14), which are ideal as performance pieces, yet at the same time train both technique and musical expressiveness. This book contains arrangements of piano pieces written by Béla Bartók (1881-1945) in his youth for piano pupils (Ten Easy Piano Pieces, For Children, The First Term at the Piano). Most are arrangements of Hungarian or Slovak folk songs, while the rest are based on the composer's own melodies. The pieces appear in order of difficulty, but even the simplest can be used as effective performance pieces. The album is recommended for the first three years of flute learning, and the first four pieces are playable within the first year.
