Lennox Berkeley wascomposing and having his works performed before he finished school then upon meeting Ravel was introduced to legendary teacher Nadia Boulanger in Paris with whom he studied. He mixed with the great artistic and musicalnames of prewar Paris before returning to Britain where he later met and lived with Benjamin Britten before the arrival of Peter Pears in Britten’s life. Berkeley was professor of composition at the Royal Academy of Musicand himself composed more than two hundred works of music many of them of enduring value.

The Vocal Score for Finnish composer Aulis Sallinen's Barabbas Dialogues Op. 84 arranged for five singers and a speaker. Please note that this Vocal Score is in German with German lyrics also. Commissioned by the Naantali Music Festival in Finland the premiere of Barabbas Dialogues was given at the Naantali Church on the 11th of June 2004. Five Songs of Incarnation is planned to be performed as a cycle in celebration of the Nativity. Each song is prefaced by quotations from the first chapter of St. John's Gospel set for tenor solo and SATB unaccompanied.Although the work is designed as a single entity to be performed without a break individual songs may be performed separately with or without their respective preface. Four of the songs are reworkings of carols from the composer's earlier Five Carols for Five Voices Op. 78. The central song I Sing of a Maiden is new as are the prefaces for tenor solo.
