This work is composed by the very talented Grammy Award-winning composer Michael League composer for many of the works performed by the group Snarky Puppy one of the most exciting entertaining and musically sophisticated groups of young musicians performing today. Out of the depths is a reflective homophonic and beautifully written work. The choral parts are very accessible yet the resulting sound is rather sophisticated and thoughtful. This setting of Psalm 130 is suitable throughout the liturgical year but would be particularly effective during Lent and other reflective occasions.
