All-Night Vigil (Vespers) is a setting of music for a night-long service on the eves of Russian Orthodox holy days, and became one of Rachmaninoff's favorite compositions. Basing the 15 movements of his choral setting on a combination of traditional Russian Orthodox chants, Latin hymns, and original chants by the composer, the work was completed in less than two weeks in 1915. This arrangement utilizes the 1st, 2nd, 7th, 10th, and 12th movements, along with the traditional Amens at the beginning of Movements 1 and 2. Unlike other settings of choral works for wind ensemble, this arrangement is constructed as a complete suite that is intended to allow the performers and audience to experience the power and beauty of the complete Vespers. Dur: c. 16:00 (Recorded by the Florida State University Wind Orchestra - Rick Clary, conductor).

Ideal for those churches who desire a short yet powerful seasonal work, this suite explores Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, the crucifixion at Golgotha, and the resurrection on Easter Sunday. The four anthems may be presented together utilizing the included narration as a mini-cantata for Holy Week, or they may be presented individually during Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter services, making this a truly versatile consideration for Holy Week worship. Regardless of your presentation choice, the superb choral writing of Lloyd Larson and the tasteful orchestration of Brant Adams shine through to create a truly meaningful worship experience. Performance time: approximately 15-20 minutes.

By His wounds we are healed. Calvary's sorrow and triumph are powerfully captured in this dramatic suite for Lent or Holy Week. Three beloved hymns frame the work: Near the Cross reassures us as we journey in the shadow of the cross; Beneath the Cross of Jesus calls us to bear witness once again to Christ's passion; and I Will Sing of My Redeemer unites us as Christians to affirm our faith in the Christ of the cross. The music is inspired, accessible, and easily prepared by choirs of all sizes, and the dramatic narrative allows for one or more readers. Approximately nine minutes in length, this suite is perfect for incorporation into regular worship and provides a brilliant dramatic alternative to longer cantatas.

This music drama is approximately nine minutes in length and is perfect for incorporation into regular worship on Palm/Passion Sunday. John Parker’s inspired narrative opens the work with shouts of “Hosanna!†as Jesus enters Jerusalem. Mark Hayes’s score enters with growing intensity, and the choir sings a triumphant anthem of praise. The mood changes during the first interlude, as the high priests plot against Jesus, and the music beautifully underscores the scripture-based narrative. The second chorus conveys the scene at the Last Supper with haunting melodies and a lyrically flowing accompaniment. The mood of the following interlude is one of steadfast faith, quoting the hymn “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.†Its narrative is inspired by Philippians 2:5–11. The final chorus is a majestic yet reflective affirmation of faith in praise to Jesus, Who was faithful to His final breath.
