In the Odyssey, dreams come into the world through one of two gates. If they come through the gates of ivory they are false dreams. However, if they come into the world through the gates of horn they are true dreams that tell the user of things to be, or illuminate truth. The Gates of Horn is a dramatic piece for band that alternates a syncopated fanfare with a bold, yet lyrical theme. These contrasting ideas chase each other throughout the piece.

Original Anthem This dynamic Palm Sunday anthem from Joel Raney is brimming over with excitement. The adult voices begin the musical journey building to . . . Jesus, Redeemer, King, rides in triumphant majesty. Let all creation sing loud hosannas to the King of Glory! At this highpoint, the optional children's choir enters singing, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, echoed by the adult voices in a very effective exchange. From there the anthem builds to a thrilling hosanna-filled conclusion. The instrument packet contains a Conductor's Score and parts for Flute, French Horn, Percussion (tambourine, triangle, conga or djembe), Bass Guitar & 4 Handbells.

Adam Granger self-published the first edition of Grangerâ??s Fiddle Tunes for Guitar in 1979. A second edition was published in 1994. Now Mel Bay Publications presents the third edition of the book.
This 236-page book is the most extensive and best-documented collection of fiddle tunes for the flatpicking guitar player in existence, and includes reels, hoedowns, hornpipes, rags, breakdowns, jigs and slip-jigs, presented in Southern, Northern, Irish, Canadian, Texas and Old-time styles.
There are 508 fiddle tunes referenced under 2500 titles and alternate titles. The titles are fully indexed, making the book doubly valuable as a reference book and a source book.
In this new edition, all tunes are typeset, instead of being handwritten as they were in the previous editions, making the tabs easier to read.
The tunes in Grangerâ??s Fiddle Tunes for Guitar are presented in Easytab, a streamlined tablature notation system designed by Adam specifically for fiddle tunes.
The book comes with a link which gives access to mp3 recordings by Adam of all 508 tunes, each played once at a moderate tempo, with rhythm on one channel and lead on the other.
Also included in Grangerâ??s Fiddle Tunes for Guitar are instructions for reading Easytab, descriptions of tune types presented in the book, and primers on traditional flatpicking and rhythm guitar. Additionally, there are sections on timing, ornamentation, technique, and fingering, as well as information on tune sources and a history of the collection.
Mel Bay also offers The Granger Collection, by Bill Nicholson, the same 508 tunes in standard music notation.

< em>The Country of Larks by Julian Philips is a miniature cantata for Tenor, Horn and Piano that investigates an epiphanous moment of connection with nature. The text was extracted and reassembled from Robert Louis Stevenson's An Autumn Effect, an 1875 essay that describes an autumnal hike through the Chilterns, philosophical, comical and poignant by turns. Stevenson's narrative framework is filleted into a short sequence of short recitative and arioso sections, culminating in an extended musical response to his fascination for the larks. The Country of Larks was commissioned by the 2021 Oxford Lieder Festival, on the occasion of its twentieth anniversary and was premiered at the 2022 edition of the festival on 25 October 2022 by Stuart Jackson (Tenor), Jocelyn Freeman (Piano) and George Strivens (Horn). This edition is published as part of the Peters Contemporary Chamber Series.

; Prayer is a short work written in honor of Paul Fromm's seventy-fifth birthday as part of a bouquet of compositions especially composed for the occasion and presented in a concert commemorating the event on January 22, 1982, by the Contemporary Chamber Players of the University of Chicago, Ralph Shapey, music director. My notes for that evening read: I asked myself--how shall I celebrate this special day? The answer--compose a prayer. A wordless one... the horn is my voice. Bass clarinet, bassoon, and timpani form a low choir supporting, commenting, punctuating. From their midst the clarinet takes flight. In my mind, it assumes the role of the innocent village boy whose whistle, according to an old Jewish tale, opened the gates of heaven.  .
